We are currently moving to the Bromcom Cloud offering from CMIS but some of our in-house systems will continue to be used. Can anyone give me advise on the options available to extract selected bits of our school data? I've only managed to locate stuff about using GroupCall but wondered if there was a way of pulling the data down using a call to the API, also, are there data dictionaries available? Or is there a built in export utility as part of Bromcom that can be used?

Just gonna jump in and put a comment about the pub shot (I know it as I used to live in Wolves and even worked on renovating the old Low Level Station nearby - many years ago) on the basis of that one photo I'd say you need to get more foreground detail and use the local features to your advantage. To be honest the pub shot looks like something from an estate agent window, you could experiment with taking some shots from under the bridge so its cutting into the skyline, there are quite dramatic effects if you make shots black & white too. The cropping is quite important as well, sometimes its what you can't see that gives a photo that bit extra, maybe you don't need the whole of the frontage in frame for example. Just a few ideas but nice to see

I agree with vikpaw and witch. As I previously stated I think the existing system is fine, I've never had a problem with any of the advice given and find it better to take a look at all advice given before making a final decision, it would be daft to simply apply the suggestion solution of any one person (despite their level of knowledge) as sometimes the message can become garbled and they misinterpret you post and vice-versa. It also seems to suggest that anyone without a badge is therefore going to be overlooked, as by implication they must be a newbie, unreliable or unhelpful etc. Also, perhaps there could be badges for those who give poor advice so we can ignore them?

I tend to judge the expertise of any posts I find on EduGeek by whether they work or not, what if a new member were an absolute wizz at PHP but hadn't earned the badges? The existing system works fine IMHO.

I had to laugh when I saw the news clip of him singing and dancing at the whitehouse with Paul Mcartney and co. whilst the poor folks in Louisiana trudged along beaches clogged with mud. Quite ironic when you think his image is one of cleancut campaigner for the people.

Well it's clear they're using it to find more out about your web habits.. but is there any need to poke you in the eye with that image? My eyes still hurt!
