Link: Google Geo Developers Blog: Announcing deprecation of the Google Earth API

Hi everyone. I am trying to set up an API between Go 4 Schools and PBI, but it isn't working. We have got the API key, but we are unsure where exactly we need to link the URL to. We have been trying with the "O Data" feed. Is there a better way to link to GO? When we add the key etc. we get the error "An API key value wasn't specified". We have tried all different ways like adding the API key as the username, chaging the URL path, using the key in the URL path but we can't seem to get anywhere with it. We have also used https://api.go4schools.com/customer/v1/academic-years/{academicYear}/students -H "Authorization: Bearer {ApiKey}" but that hasn't worked either. Would really appreciate some pointers, please! Thanks in advance

Hello, I hope this is in the right place, if not, feel free to move. We provide software that provides a soap call to the Eportal api to update the students roll call. At the moment we have 25-35 students with no issues, but each time we extend this to say 80+ the facility data server keeps refusing the call and eportal becomes unavailable. Just wondering if anyone else here has a similar setup with these issue, and if so, what sorted it? Thanks in advance,

Hi, I'm looking for an SMS API that will allow us to include text messaging into some of the web apps that we have developed as a school. Any recommendations from people who have done this before? Chris

I am having problems getting the Facility Connect API to work with the eSchools learning platform. I have updated the api.xml with the settings that were given to me by the eSchools learning platform and I keep getting the 404 error message. The api.xml settings have been checked and are correct. Can anyone help me to resolve this problem as Link2ict do not offer any support on this?

Hi, has anyone had any experience connecting the iHasco training (ihasco.co.uk) site to Google Workspace OU's to enable the creation of new users and suspension when changed in GWS? There is very little online regarding this and iHasco doesn't provide any support for it. Thanks in advance, Stubbsy

I'm a teacher and our school is due to go live with Progresso tomorrow. I've just looked at the template for the first set of student reports we're supposed to write using the new system and was wondering if anyone could help with a quick query. It looks like the "comment" field we fill in (250 characters of free text) requires us to click "Enter" to bring up the text entry box. This gets extremely click-y (especially when there's a second or two to wait for the box to come up or close again). Does anyone know if we can configure Progresso to present the text boxes inline as they were in ePortal? Even better, can we get Progresso to import report data from Excel (it seems to export to Excel quite happily)? If there's not an import from Excel function does anyone know anything about the Progresso API so I could look at writing a little macro to do it for me? Thanks a lot!

Hi all, Do you know of any Asset management SAS that has an API for Hibob? (except for "Axonius" which i already booked a demo with.) Thanks!

Good Afternoon all, I am wanting to use the Wonde API to extract data from sims into excel. the one bit that seems to be stumping me is Pagination and how to pull for example all pupil records at once or is this not possible. i have managed to pull the page 1 through with this = Json.Document(Web.Contents("https://api.wonde.com/v1.0/schools/A12345678910/students?include=registration,year,contact_details,extended_details&per_page=200&page=1")) but is there a way in the syntax that will do all pages or is there a way of indexing how many pages and parsing through? any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi folks, I'm currently working on a major project to launch Blackboard in our schools. Part of this project involves taking data from CMIS and loading it into Blackboard. There's not actually that much data involved - Students, Staff, Parents, Courses and all the relationships these contain. The tricky part is time table details. I need to be able to produce a simple flat file for the timetable import process in Blackboard and I am planning on using the CMIS API for this. Using the SOAP UI plug-in in Eclipse I can see the methods exist however when I come to writing code to use the API I can't figure out where to get it from. It's a bit of puzzler. I can see that the most suitable approach for me is to get the timetable information for a student or staff member as I get their details. I was wondering if anyone had used this method yet and if they would be kind enough to share some insights with me. Many thanks Nathan

Hi there, I've not posted on here before, I work for a company called mso where we are developing a school portal product (I'm trying to give it a name but that's another story!) and the current MIS integration I'm working on is Progresso. I've hit numerous brick walls with their SOAP service however the current one seems to have me at a bit of an impasse. If I log in to the current clients Progresso UI I am able to drill down into a learner and then view their Assessment Details by year / subject / template. That is not a problem. However I need to be able to extract this information to be able to present it within our pretty responsive UI alongside all the other information for parents to view. Within the Assessment service documentation I have ( despite there being an incorrect web service URL ) there are a few methods that look like they would be useful but are missing ( listed below ) which is unfortunate because some of these feel like they would do what I am looking for. Assessments.GetSingleLearnerDetails Assessments.GetLearner Assessments.GetDataValuesByAssessment Assessments.GetDataValuesByAssessmentTypeOne Assessments.GetAssessmentScreens Assessments.GetAssessmentDataValues Assessments.GetAssessmentTemplateColumnByAssessmentTemplateColumnId I have used Assessments.GetLearnerAssessmentDetails for a specific LearnerID to get a list of AssessmentLearnerRecording records for users. This web service was pretty slow, taking around 20-25 seconds to return 17k so I suspect it's not the best one to be using. This returned a list of AssessmentLearnerRecording's. I was then able to use Miscellaneous.GetAssessmentLearnerResultValueByAssessmentLearnerRecordingID with an AssessmentLearnerRecordingID as entityId to retreive a set of AssessmentLearnerResultValue's but these nodes only seem to contain links to other more general places but no actual data. I have tried contacting Advanced Learning about Progresso by email and received no response. The client school has raised a support ticket. I have called them and managed to talk to someone but the only response I got from them summed up to "We have problems with the API" and "I'll chase up your ticket" which in turn solicited a response to the ticket which didn't answer the query! ( This was a week after the ticket was raised I should add ). Overall I'm not that impressed and am at a bit of a loss as to where to go from here as it certainly seems like information is not forthcoming from Advanced Learning. So, does anyone out there have any experience with the Progresso Soap API and are able to help me find where to get the data for learners reports? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, I have an issue with a desktop application I'm coding right now, but the problem is related to the web part of it. I have to log-in and post to social networks as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ (not limited to these...) but I only read API and SDK documentation that talk about in-browser oauth authentication. There is a way to authenticate inside of a pop-up browser window (e.g.) and to automatize the connection and the posting of a uses from a desktop application? Thank you in advance Bob

I've been working on my PostgreSQL skills over the past few weeks after discovering in the Autumn that google sheets wasn't quite up to our demands for tracking. I want to be able to query SIMS tables and add/update data in marksheets so we're not constantly duplicating work. I find the reporting which I can access to be opaque. I'd appreciate being directed to any resources that could help.
