BatchFile Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I once sprayed deoderant into my hand thinking it was shaving foam! To be fair, it was 'the morning after the night before'! Similar theme: shaving gel applied to toothbrush, and toothpaste applied to face like shaving gel, I've done both
rolfea Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Similar theme: shaving gel applied to toothbrush, and toothpaste applied to face like shaving gel, I've done both Similar again, just different room; I've put Orange Juice in my cereal and ended up with a glass of milk.
gizmo2005 Posted July 27, 2010 Author Posted July 27, 2010 please tell me you tried the cereal too lol
Guest Guest Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Ive had a pint of rum and coke; rum with a dash of coke. I was very sick that night!
K.C.Leblanc Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I once sprayed deoderant into my hand thinking it was shaving foam! To be fair, it was 'the morning after the night before'! Under very similar circumstances my dad tried to clean his teeth with Germolene. 1
Disease Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Not really got a funny comment but more of an action. I was sat in my car waiting for my mates with my cousin who was in the passenger seat. He pushed the cig lighter on and waited till it popped up, then he took it out looked at the glowing end and touched on it his forhead! He had to walk around with a half an inch burn in the middle of his forhead for ages. To this day he still has no idea what possessed him to do it. 1
TechMonkey Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 To this day he still has no idea what possessed him to do it. It's the same as that little voice that tells you to go closer to the edge when standing on a cliff or top of a building, the one that tells you you'll miss that clump of trees by miles as you hurtle down a slope on a sledge, that little part of you that really doesn't seem to like you!! Mine recently seems to think that it would be interesting to see how well my motorbike would slide down the road, or how far I would catapult into a field if I went straight into a hedge. I'd love to know the scientific reason for that. & the first person to tell me the scientific reason is that I'm going loony gets the voice set on them. 1
SYNACK Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I'd love to know the scientific reason for that. Maybe you've got worms Parasites brainwash grasshoppers into death dive - life - 31 August 2005 - New Scientist But seriously if your going insane I'm going with you, I think it is just dangerous curiosity like that random thought about what would it feel like to get buzzed by 230v and just needs to be suppressed for safety. 1
jamesb Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 & the first person to tell me the scientific reason is that I'm going loony gets the voice set on them. Nope, everyone gets intrusive thoughts. Several conditions are linked to them, but only in the sense that being unable to dismiss them can be a problem. OCD, for example, is supposed to be linked to intrusive thoughts which are then reinforced and backed up by actually performing the action (locking the door twice, say). Each time you follow through on these thoughts rather than dismiss them the urge supposedly gets stronger. But no - you're not going loony. I have plenty of aggressive intrusive thoughts while cycling into work. Mainly they involve ripping the wing mirrors off cars which come too close.
gizmo2005 Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 thread revive, there must be more stupid comments out there!!!!
jimmy_2k Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Favorite from my school days... What country is the German girl from?
tazz Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 On a recent trip to Tanzania, one year 12 student asked "Are mosquitoes called mosquitoes because of all mosques?" This was our newly appointed Head Girl.
dwhyte85 Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 "If I have no Internet at home, can I still get SAM Learning if i type that in?", A year 11 pupil, part of the school executive team. "I typed in Studywiz.com and I can't see where to login?", A TEACHER after I gave them a user guide with the URL to our VLE! Well, I think they're stupid...
dwhyte85 Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Oh and how much are the One Penny sweets? I went into a small shop in Maidenhead, and the pink shrimps cost 2p not 1p - I was mortified - it says on the tub penny sweets!
Busybub Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Was going through airport security a couple of years back and the idiot who was doing a manual search of my bag pulls out a torch and asks "what are going to use this for?"
featured_spectre Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 if it is a maglite torch, u cud have bludgeoned him to death! lol
Busybub Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Only an AA jobbie, would have bounced off his thick skull...
jimmy_2k Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Can you download the internet and copy it onto CD for me?
chrisredfield93 Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Can you download the internet and copy it onto CD for me? Jimmy why a CD? why not a floppy? http://goldcoaster.files.wordpress.com/2007/09/the_internet_on_one_disk.jpg
andy_nic Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 A friend told me that at a parents evening the science teacher said to her about her twins “what they were born on the same day?”
pete Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 There are two critical servers with this customer that crash repeatedly because they run out of drive space. We have told him this many times with no commitment, but he just told us he refused to get more drive space because his lead tech said: "We prefer to keep drive space as maximized as possible to provide security; it prevents people from installing unauthorized applications or leave unnecessary files lying around that they would otherwise do with extra space." This was the same customer who thought RAID5 is "five times faster" than RAID1. from here: Ars
Jawloms Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Perhaps a bit harsh to call it a 'stupid comment', more 'the funny side of innocence'; My daughter at the age of about 8 had been making a pirate treasure map at school like all kids do. 'Why did pirates soak their maps in tea?' she asked! Just shows that it's all well and good doing things with kids, but if you don't tell them why it's still kind of pointless!
gizmo2005 Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 thread revive, great comments in here people, have get me well and truley entertained over the last couple of weeks
