Disease replied to AlphamaleZed's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I have 3rd party support with Co-connect for our Smoothwall and they are fantastic. -
I watched "I swear last night" absolutely brilliant and moving film.

Be careful with the software version you install as we have been made aware that if you have NET2 classic ACU's hey will stop working on the newest version of the software, we are in the process of swapping out our classics in readiness for the latest version.

Yes it's for Student Mac books in Music, I wanted them to be able to log in and get access to shares but by the sound of it it seems very flakey.

Doesn't have to be on the taskbar but it's not even showing on the menu. I have not dealt with Win 11 start menu so far, in all apps it shows our redirected start menu fine but I have not looked into pinning items to the front yet so any tips greatly appreciated.

Just Zip up your artwork and password it, then use the service, have fun with that WeTransfer. -
Moving to Windows 11 Edu 24H2 and there is no Documents or File Explorer icon showing on the menu when pupils or staff log in but shows when administrator logs in? Is there a setting in GPO that I need to add to get this to show again?
-
Hi all, moving to Windows 11 24H2 this summer from Windows 10, anyone care to share any gotchas I need to plan for, especially when it comes to Group Policy. Are there any quirks I need to plan for or set or will most of my current GPO settings still be applicable in Win 11. Thanks in Advance.

No, but I have some projectors that are 10 years old and are fine for teaching, we carry out regular maintenance and we use a light meter to check output, we have been using LED/Laser projectors since the first Casio ones came out. Listen me personally I would swap to TV's but the Head is just not into them also we have quite a few large classrooms so really need big panels which are very expensive, 75" looks small in some of our rooms.
-
When I say TV's I mean Smart Interactive Screens not just TV's.
-
They may be deemed old school now but the trouble is my Head doesn't like the interactive screens plus we can get Laser projectors and 86" smartboards for the same money which last way longer than any of the TV's we have previously purchased. In the 20 Years I have been here we have replaced 1 failed interactive board but 4 interactive TV's since we put some in 6 years ago.
-
But that would be interactive display, either Interactive board and projector or Interactive TV, no exclusively Interactive TV.
