  1. Hi all, Rabbits turned out to be too young to have babies and too young to be neutered - taking them back to the vets this weekend to review this matter and have vaccinations. Ended up calling them Thistle and Clover - I thought Clover was a girl and Thistle a boy - but the vet pointed out we'd got that the wrong way round - oh well! Invested in a decent home for them now, please see pic. I cannot believe the amount of poop these little guys produce! How do you scrape it off the grass?!?! Also can't believe how much I've fallen for them!
  2. BTW - what to do with Bunny Poop?
  3. Thanks everyone, gonna give it a go. Think I'll call the boy Thistle or Pickle and the girl Clover. Gonna get the boy 'done' but no money till Tuesday so hope they don't get jiggy with it - no idea how old they are!
  4. "Waifs & Strays Welcome Here" only one cat was a chosen pet, the other two adopted us and I nearly ran over the dog which was straying and no one claimed it!
  5. 26th July 5:45am: saw a domestic rabbit on street - found rabbit sized box (prerequisite), tried 2 catch it - failed, so did Harry – FAIL - Puss not bothered till Harry tried. After 15 mins of "human & cats chase rabbit show" rabbit gets in 2 neighbours back garden - told neighbour 2 look out for it. @ that point Harry decides cat food is easier, but Puss, hunt instinct activated, headed in direction of rabbit Me gets ready for work! 7th August 4pm: Rabbit in garden - myself on OH apprehend Rabbit and put in cat box. Now what? Purchase hutch and run through Ad-Mag for £35! Seller donates some hay, wood shavings and food after sob story. Brother in law collects run in van as Fiesta too small for run, but hutch fits ok! 8th August: Mum in law buys water bottle, hay and wood shavings for rabbit. Approach neighbour for chicken wire to put on run to keep rabbit safe form cats. Neighbour brings unsuitable rusty wire and reveals the rabbit was his, given to him by an acquaintance that was going to kill them - do we want the other one? He was keeping them in with his chickens. Not sure why he didn't tell me this on the 26th July! Now have two rabbits 9th August 4:30pm: Purchase suitable chicken wire to cover run and consider names! 10th August 6pm: Decision time – keen to keep them, but never had rabbits before, have 3 cats and a dog already. It’s ok in good weather letting them out in their run, but what happens in winter, how do I protect them from the elements, keep them occupied, should they come in, do they take a lot of looking after? Help? Many thanks for looking!
  6. @mossj: Maybe that's the problem. The sql database I'm trying to import is an export from another plesk managed site? The username and password I'm using is set to the same as the originating site.
  7. @webman: I deleted the user and database, but can't see how to create a user or database in myPhpAdmin- I'm not sure if this is a cut down version provided by the hosting provider. I created a db and user both with the name of the main plesk account. Get No Privileges under Create new database. Please see pics. When I try to import the sql file I get access denied Further background information that may help: We are using Parallels Plesk 9.5 which runs phpMyAdmin 2.11.9.6 and MySql Client Version 5.0.90, provided by the hosting provider. Trying to follow the instructions for phpMyAdmin which suggests running /domains/databases/scripts/setup.php to configure config.inc.php This brings up a GUI to configure the server, but there is a warning message of I've tried creating a folder called config in the top level of the website, but get the error below - also, I'm not certain that's where it means. Error: Unable to create directory /config: filemng failed: mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/www/vhosts/websitename.co.uk/config': Permission denied filemng: Error occured during /bin/mkdir command. I'd like to be able to actually manually edit config.inc.php, but can't locate it. Hope you can help.
  8. Thanks for the tips guys, I'll give them a go and feed back in the morning.
  9. @bossman: I'm trying to help OH here - neither of us know what we're doing! I'm accessing phpMyAdmin via a control panel called "plesk". In this I created a database and then a user with password, but there seems to be no means to set what privileges this user has. Anyway got as far as trying the following: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON databasename.* TO username@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'password'; and got the original error, ERROR 1044 Access denied for user 'username'@'%' to database 'databasename' So now I'm thinking I need to tell MySql that this user does have access. The info I can find (phpMyAdmin 3.5.0-dev - Documentation) tells me to the following: phpMyAdmin does not apply any special security methods to the MySQL database server. It is still the system administrator's job to grant permissions on the MySQL databases properly. phpMyAdmin's "Privileges" page can be used for this. Thing is I can't find the "Privileges" page Hope you can help.
  10. Hi there, I'm trying to import a database and kept getting ERROR 1044 Access denied for user 'username'@'%' to database 'databasename' So, I've tried to grant permissions to the user by using the command below: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON databasename.* TO 'username'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'password' WITH GRANT OPTION; I get the following error: #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySql server Version for the right syntax to use near 'IDENTIFIED BY 'password' WITH GRANT OPTION' at line 1 I don't have a manual, the MySQL server version is 5.0.90 and phpMyAdmin is 2.11.9.6 Can anyone help point me in the right direction please?
  11. Hi there, I applied for NM there in 2007, but the best man won! Seriously, it would have been my first NM post and the network was a mess - I was glad I didn't get it. Their admin and curriculum networks were separate - standard in NCC schools. Also they had no budget for anything. The departing NM, despite being under resourced, will have worked hard over the last 3-4 years to bring it up to standard. When I did get my first NM post, he was always there for advice and guidance. I would be more confident to take over now, not only with the experience I now have, but also knowing he was at the helm before me. The school is strict with the kids and has a strong catholic ethos. It was at the centre of some controversy a year or so ago when a teacher attacked a pupil. I think there has been a change in headteacher since I applied which I'm sure would be good for the school. The NM only had a part time technician when I was last in touch - not sure if that has changed, but that would be something I would ask at interview. Also, he was sharing work space with school admin team! Hope this helps.
  12. I’ve had that paralysis thing before – scary. More recently though I’ve had a feeling that something’s lying on my feet or back in bed - checked for the usual suspects – the pets - but none there – been pretty freaky.
  13. Total fluke - got sacked as a receptionist at a fork lift truck service company (hot engineers!!) due to personality clashes (PMT between me and boss!!) and desperately needed a job to pay the loan on my first car. Got two interviews, one sales, one basic follow a script and tell someone how to install a printer over the phone at an IT call centre - Dad said IT is the future - literally begged for the call centre job and got it 14 years ago. My last job was NM at a secondary school for 3 years, and again NM 2 years at another secondary previous to that. My only qualification is an MCP in 95! Found schools tight on the old training budget and couldn't fund any myself, but I've done well none the less.
  14. If I didn't have 3 already I'd re-home him.
  15. Hmmm Master Mind... Health and Fitness and.... Most random things I've been asked for in IT
