Covers better than originals....

Was sat here tonight going through tracks and I starting thinking about instances where covers of songs were actually better than the originals.

 

The two that stand out majorly for me are Fall Out Boy's Beat It ft. John Mayer - so much better than Jackson's, and; Johnny Cash's version of 9-inch Nails' Hurt.

 

Which covers do you think are better than the originals?

The only Fall out boy track I like is their version of 'Roxanne' - real stonker

 

and on the Police theme, Underoaths version of 'wrapped around your finger'

 

Alexisonfire and Moneen did a split ep where they played two of each others tracks - the alexisonfire versions of moneens stuff are awesome, less so the other way round.

 

Metallicas whiskey in the jar is a stonker too
