Good morning, Those of you that have the Ubiquiti EDU wifi system and use it as a PA system, what is it like? Our college would like to use it as a way to signal lesson changes, warn of bomb/terrorist/intruder threats, that kind of thing. Can you schedule it to play a bell sound? What is the interface like for interacting with it? Thanks James

Servers seem to be working this morning. Been wandering round work looking for pokemon. Seems to use the same points of interest as Ingress for the pokestops and gyms.

Any idea on how to accomplish this? I assume some sort of login script to re-direct?

Hi everyone Over the summer I upgraded our mac server to Yosemite and was finally pushed into using the profile manager. Most things work OK, but I'm struggling with managing Chrome. Our Photography department has started using Google Drive to store/submit work and Chrome seems to be the logical choice to use this. Does anyone know how to managed Chrome (homepage, access to settings etc) with Profile manager? Occasionally we also get a problem where Chrome won't load Google Drive or our Frog VLE until you clear out the cookies. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Nope, models up to around 2012 were magnets, got over 100 of those and I'm currently doing SSD upgrades on them. On the 2013 models the glass is stuck on with glue. You've gotta heat it up or scrap it off to get inside:

Does anyone know if you can buy just the plexiglass screens for iMacs? We have a couple of rooms of the 21.5" Late 2013 macs that have the screen stuck on with what I assume is some kind of glue. Two of them have been damaged and there are a couple of cracks spreading across the glass. The screen underneath is fine as is the rest of the mac. I'd just like to be able to replace the screen without having to send it off to Apple for 'diagnostics' then repair.

We've been getting a really strange problem since the start of term. If a user has the "User must change password at next logon" check in their AD account options they get the error "User profile service failed the login". If we uncheck the change password box and manually change their password they log in fine. What makes it even weirder is that they can try another PC and it works fine, they change their password and log in without the error. Other students can use the same PC, with the change password box checked and it will let them in no problem. Its been a real problem with the new Year 7s as the accounts are created with the change password box but its not limited to them. Any student account we check the change password box on has the potential to cause a problem. Running out of ideas on what to troubleshoot, have tired checking password age/complexity requirements (we don't have any), shares on the mandatory profiles are fine (all students get the same profile). Anyone have any ideas?

We've had to move to Chrome because of this (and the Google/SWGFL certificate problems!) -
Anyone else still really slow? Its taking 40+ seconds to load pages and we keep getting the odd timeout.

Of course it does. Grand. That's going to make today interesting. I've also had a few problems with students not being able to click on images in Google image search. Clicking doesn't open the image in the drop down box as it usually would. -

Anyone having problems with Firefox on macs? The Certificates installed and Safari works fine but Firefox gives connection untrusted. -
Last bought: Gwent.... or the Witcher 3 to give it its proper name. Last completed: Probably Dragon Age: Inquisition or Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

I'm currently DMing a D&D campaign set in Eberron. Just moved over to 5e and run Hoard of the Dragon Queen. We usually meet once a week on Saturday nights, me & 7 other players. I'd really like to do some Call of Cthulhu, our rogue player keeps hinting at starting a group but he never gets round to it!

Sorry I haven't got any solutions for you but I've had this exact thing! Its driving me round the bend. When unbinding it can't talk to AD and insists there is a time discrepancy. All the macs pull their time from the main DC and ts never out of sync. Force unbinding works but then you have to reboot the machine a couple of times to re-bind and sometime even delete the machine from AD before it'll work. I'll add a "Me too!" to this one!
