chazzy2501 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Finally raising the password complexity requirements on our domain but it is so old, I worry about finding what legacy script, service, whatever will get upset # Domain creation date (the domain you’re connected to) (Get-ADObject (Get-ADRootDSE).defaultNamingContext -Properties whenCreated).whenCreated # Forest root domain creation date (even if you run this from a child domain) (Get-ADObject (Get-ADRootDSE).rootDomainNamingContext -Properties whenCreated).whenCreated `` Mine said March 2005, this was months before I joined, so could be true.

DrCheese Posted January 27 Posted January 27 June 2005. I er.. remember creating it as well, which shows my age!
Dos_Box Posted January 27 Posted January 27 If there is anyone here from Ashton-On-Ribble High School in Preston, it would be great if you could check yours, as I set it up during the summer in 2001. It'd be nice if the original AD had gone on to today
3s-gtech Posted January 27 Posted January 27 We've had this as a thread before, but it's an interesting topic. Our forest was created in August 2001 (sub-domain in August 2003) - so coming up 25 and 23! Few quirks of its age but holding up.

FN-GM Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I believe ours is early 2000 (I don't have my laptop to check), only a few months after Windows 2000 was released.
2ilent8cho Posted January 27 Posted January 27 6th April 2004, feels so long ago when I created it ready to go Vanilla from from RM Connect 2.4.

DavR Posted January 27 Posted January 27 August 2005.... At which point I'd done two years working in the industry, and it was the summer I left home for the Big City. I started here September 2015.
MatthewL Posted January 30 Posted January 30 If I was in a previous job think ours was dated early 2000's, replaced a NT domain which was in use till probably 2009 before I turned it off. I know the domain was turned off either late 2024 or early 2025 as it was a bit of a sad day to see it go but not many people around from that time so didnt mean much to many.
