mitchell1981 Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Anyone else having speed issues (or not working at all issues) with Bromcom this morning? Status page says all is well, so wanted to check if it's just us.
mitchell1981 Posted September 4, 2025 Author Posted September 4, 2025 Looks like they have just put this on the status page, so there is a problem. Some users experiencing performance issues We have had some reports this morning of user experiencing slowness in some system areas within the MIS. This is being investigated with urgency.
TheHyperTechie Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 We are also experiencing issues. First day back, great!
machy Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 First proper day back for us & it broke as soon as the kids started getting in lessons 🤣
Rob_D Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 It's the start of term, so it was expected that Bromcom would grind to a halt.

E_G_R2 Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Every damn year it is just not good enough for such an essential service, safeguarding and all.
pete Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Yup. It started to be (unusually) grindy yesterday afternoon so any performance monitoring on their end should have flagged that up.
Bromcom_Alec Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Our Cloud team has identified the cause of this morning’s slow page response times and implemented measures to improve performance. Some pages may still fail to load; if this occurs, please try refreshing your browser. The team is treating this as a top priority and continues to work on a permanent solution. 2
pete Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 @Bromcom_Alec can you shed any light on whether the performance issues from yesterday afternoon are linked to this morning's outage?
RyanT001 Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Some users experiencing performance issues Resources Affected: Bromcom MIS Cloud UK Severity: Major Incident Note: On Sunday 31st August, we increased the resources on our cloud system to help make the return to school run as smoothly as possible. Unfortunately, on Thursday 4th September, one of our servers developed a serious fault. This has caused some ongoing instability when users are connected to that server. At the moment, we aren't able to take it out of action ourselves, so we've raised it as an urgent incident with our infrastructure supplier to get it fixed and restore stability for everyone. We're very sorry for the disruption this has caused. Once the issue is resolved, we'll also carry out a full review to help prevent it happening again. We'll share further updates as soon as we have more news from our supplier. Thank you for your patience and understanding in the meantime. 1 1 1
mthomas08 Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Frustrating I know.. causing us a head ache. As long as they do keep trying to avoid these kind of issues I will let them off. I actually was thinking when we got in how reliable Bromcom had been for us in 2025.
RyanT001 Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Looks like it's down again. 502 Bad Gateway & 504 Gateway Time-out errors.

E_G_R2 Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Because they can still attach them to some POT's lines with 128K Modems 1
Alis_Klar Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Never seen Bromcom load so fast. Just wait till the rest of the country log back in tho!
Bromcom_Alec Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 The system is now fully restored, but if you are still experiencing issues please contact Support. 2 1
