psydii Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Similar story over on Classcharts (though performance is better than figures mentioned here).
CHiLL Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 It took 25 minutes from the first reports to informing customers - that's also too slow imo. Service is now "degraded" on status page : Bromcom Cloud Status Page That's a surprise they've updated it - I absolutely do not believe that chart for uptime, at least the UK one anyway. 1
Bromcom_Darren Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Hi all, The team are looking into the cases raised and responses will be provided on the thread below. Known Issue - Reports of Slowness Of the MIS 22/01/2024 (bromcomcloud.com) Thanks Darren Moody Community Manager Bromcom
supportman Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Seems fast again now. Seems to indicate a database server overloaded perhaps?
michaeljbrewis97 Posted January 22, 2024 Author Posted January 22, 2024 If Bromcom could just sort out the problem so that it doesnt keep happening that would be great. Poor service and poor quality product. The ''Team'' clearly dont actually fix the problem. Hi all, The team are looking into the cases raised and responses will be provided on the thread below. CHiLL Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Resolved Let me guess, no reason to the cause will be provided and nor will any commitment to resolving these long term, ongoing issues.
timbo343 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Let me guess, no reason will be provided and nor will any commitment to resolving these long term, ongoing issues. That's the annoying thing! If it was shared why the slowness we could report this back to end users but when there is nothing as to why, it makes us question it even more. 1
mattysmith80 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Ah man, the whole Bromcom slowness has really been a right pain in getting our schools onboard and enjoying the product… Todays incident isn’t a one off. We have moved all 35 of our schools over to Bromcom and from the beginning they have all said, seems really slow around peak times, as in on a morning when every Bromcom user is trying to login and take a register…. We have spent countless hours trying all sorts of throttling on our firewalls to prioritise Bromcom traffic, turn things off so they can hog bandwidth but it makes literally no difference, and when you read through here and the community the common theme pretty much is that Bromcom is slow… I mean what’s it going to take to sort out and get it better for everyone ? We have had support tickets opened and closed and just feel like going round in circles…. Come on Bromcom get on it and sort it out…

gszech Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Resolved by rebooting the server....? Probably that's how today's issue was fixed. Here is the server... 1

Support treat it like a school issue, ignoring the other 20 in the Trust having the same problem. Some real basics issues with performance and thats before we get to the reliance on client side JS processing and the manage attendance module.

CHiLL Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 (edited) Please upvote the "Invest in overall performance" idea, in Bromcom's ideas portal: https://ideas.bromcomcloud.com/ideas/BRCM-I-4431. Maybe also pass it round more people in your school/trust to upvote it. Edited January 22, 2024 by CHiLL 3
SteveM555 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Same again this morning. Not even able to reach the login page... 1
michaeljbrewis97 Posted January 23, 2024 Author Posted January 23, 2024 So much for Bromcom saying 'The Team has fixed the problem' clearly not.
mattysmith80 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 The Windows NT Server must have fell over again.... FFS ..... Our schools just looking at me daily now thinking why did you make us sign up to this rubbish
Aprice Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 (edited) Well I can reach the login page, but just get a runtime error after logging in. Please can someone at Bromcom connect the status page to the system, once again we're showing 100% operational. Edited January 23, 2024 by Aprice
gszech Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 So much for Bromcom saying 'The Team has fixed the problem' clearly not. They fixed yesterday's problem. Today is another day, so it doesn't count even if this is the same issue.
timbo343 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Broken here this morning too.. It feels like the saying against the horizon system, "no one else is having this problem".
