psydii Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Apropos of nothing, Classcharts had a wobble yesterday and was sluggish this morning.
supportman Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 No issues for me currently, Bromcom seems fast.

CHiLL Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 Oh look, another morning and more issues, slow loading, search doesn't work when it eventually loads and receiving this error. Config Internal Server Error The server encountered something unexpected that didn't allow it to complete the request. We apologize. Go to Dashboard
Marci Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 Aye... slowed to an unusable halt at 8.49am for us across the MAT.
Rob_D Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 From the Bromcom Status page: Performance degradationWe are aware of a general degradation currently affecting users of the MIS and Finance this morning. This is currently being investigated with urgency.Created at Jan 10 2024, 08:56 GMT
Linfit Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 Yep, as yesterday, unusable at the moment, just at the end of morning reg. They really need to sort this - it seems to happen at the start of every term, and after the issues with reporting and registers at the end of last term where poorly tested updates broke things they are not doing themselves any favours at all.
supportman Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 Extremely quick and responsive now for me. I wonder if they changed the server VM or something....

It would be useful to be transparent if for example you are overloaded with new customers like it has been speculated. 1
Theblacksheep Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Any breakdown of what the actual issue is? It would be useful to be transparent if for example you are overloaded with new customers like it has been speculated. This would be handy to know. The reliability is the biggest issue at the moment, attendance teams pulling their hair out lately and has become a bit of a joke "at least sims was fast". Not sure if this down to Bromcom's reliance on client side processing or performance.

psydii Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 pulling a CSV containing that information and storing it in a secure folder on our server, for such an emergency. We should all have contact (and medical) details available outside the MIS in the event the MIS is unavailable. And having it in two separate cloud based systems (say the MIS and Classcharts) may not be enough either - the MIS and the other 3rd party may depend upon other mutual 3rd parties (AWS, Google, Azure) where failures are already demonstrated to impact multiple providers. You need this stuff on disk locally, and in a physical file (for when the power is out too). We have ours in our MIS, GroupCall, Wonde and Teams. With a hardcopy in a secure cupboard in the main office, and an excel sheet sync'd to at least half a dozen staff laptops.
Bromcom_Darren Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Bromcom just seems to have gotten worse recently not got off to a good start for 2024 If you have any outstanding issues and would like to discuss these further please email me on [email protected] and we can arrange a mutually convenient time to look at these issues you are facing in depth. Theblacksheep Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Another morning, another day of slow Bromcom. It's reliably unreliable. 2
Olliedawg Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I cant get to the login screen at the moment 1
supportman Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Another morning, another day of slow Bromcom. It's reliably unreliable. EVERY Monday morning. Its almost a pattern! 24 seconds to load the login page here... :/ 1
SteveM555 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 It was same here this morning, extremely slow. 1
Rob_D Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Same for us, I can get on but half the menu most of the page content won't load. I don't see why Monday morning would be busier than any other day of the week.
Olliedawg Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Service is now "degraded" on status page : Bromcom Cloud Status Page
