I deployed Ruckus in my old position and rolled out Unifi (over 150 APs across 17 sites) in the new.

Xirrus got bought out by Cambium didn't they? We have 53 points around the building we're in, all going through an onsite cnMaestro which manages all the config. Our install only went in at Easter

 

We had looked at other options like ruckus and unifi but decided on Cambium in the end

We had Meru a few years ago and had quite a few wifi issues. We've had aruba for the last couple of years and it seems so much better. I'm not involved in the purchasing side of it so can't comment on the cost.

We are currently replacing our Aruba stuff with Unifi.

Aruba across all our sites. We have a Mobility Master, four Mobility Controllers and around 340 access points. Two of the sites have Instant clusters but will those will be joined to the controllers, once the WAN connections to those sites have been upgraded.

 

It works very well indeed, it's been excellent.

Unifi here but I have 2 Meraki APs and if I could 5x my budget it'd all be Meraki.

Cisco (not Merkai) with a vWLC, Mostly 2800 APs. Lots of APs all over the world, have to be careful with Regulatory Domains.

We're gradually rolling out Ubiquiti hardware to replace our older Ruckus system. The Ruckus system has, actually, been reliable and was good value for money at the time we bought it, but the Ubiquiti equipment is easy to purchase individual devices for so we can extend as we go along. We actually now have our network extended accross two buildings, with some of Ubiquiti's longer-range access points mounted in a neighbouring church tower to provide a relay point, with all the devices visible and manageable via Ubiquiti's web interface. The setup was so simple the teachers in the other budiling noticed the Internet connection was working and started using it before we even got over there to check the connection!

Bluesocket here - Great bit of kit. Not had any issues so far. Each AP can easily handle 30 laptops. Helps having a 20GB backbone and 1GB internet connection

I'd only do that if the rooms arnt too close. Co-channel interference and adjacent channel interference can cause heaps of issues.

we used to mainly fit ruckus but now anything new is unifi no need to worry about licenses for extra aps down the line

You can reduce the power, although I found Chromebooks really like a good signal - as soon as I put an access point in the classroom it cleared any issues up

I have an ye olde HP Wireless MSM system - it chugs along quite happily but nothing special about it. It works but nothing amazing. Has no support as you can't get support for it anymore, they only want to sell me a new Aruba system - and this happened soon after we had in installed!

 

I want to replace it and have already tested a Unifi Setup that I'm happy with but replacing 70 APs across the site is going to take some budget.

ExtremeCloud IQ - paid for at some sites and free version at others. Nice feature set and easy to use. Also a bit of Unifi, Aruba and Ruckus at various sites. All seem to work fine - but I like the feature set of the Extreme stuff.

Extreme WiNG 11ax

 

Replaced a Ruckus 11ac setup at one site and a Meru setup at another. Having been a UK ruckus reference site it was a big jump but was defiantly the right move.
