Samsung Tablet security

Morning all

 

Our Samsung tabs for TAs have face recognition for unlock set, with a PIN number so that we in IT can get on to them - naturally, we'd rather not give the staff the PIN, as they'll use that to unlock and students may find out the code.

 

However, the tablets keep asking for the PIN after a restart etc, before face unlock is allowed.  

 

Has anyone found a way to make it work better?

Why do IT need the pin in the first place? Maybe there is a way around it so you can share the codes with the staff.
