Not as such but I'm conscious there are 100's of PC's that will not have been turned on for weeks!

I was wondering about getting the students who are still coming in (about ten) to do a sweep of the school (supervised) and turn them all on one day!

Copiers will also need to all be fired back up and tested, but apart from that, what else needs doing?

 

On the pc note, I have Impero switching on all unused computers once a week. Our laptops on the other hand are a different story and most likely will all need checking!

That’s nor such a stupid idea... However, if deep cleaning has been done in unused parts of the school , it might be necessary to get them to glove up before doing it

 

I'm assuming the school will get a good clean before we open...

 

I'm not sold on the gloves idea, what's to stop them sneezing in to the gloves and then touching surfaces?

A new Banksy artwork has appeared at Southampton General Hospital.

 

The largely monochrome painting, which is one square metre, was hung in collaboration with the hospital's managers in a foyer near the emergency department.

 

It shows a young boy kneeling by a wastepaper basket dressed in dungarees and a T-shirt.

 

He has discarded his Spiderman and Batman model figures in favour of a new favourite action hero - an NHS nurse.

 

The nurse's arm is outstretched and pointing forward in the fashion of Superman on a mission.

 

She is wearing a facemask, a nurse's cape, and an apron with the Red Cross emblem (the only element of colour in the picture).

 

The artist left a note for hospital workers, which read: "Thanks for all you're doing. I hope this brightens the place up a bit, even if its only black and white."...

Things are looking good in our state. We have had no confirmed cases in 2 weeks (also one of the highest test rates in the world) and just 7 people being treated. Looks like it will be eradicated.

 

There is talk about opening public places such as pubs etc as soon as this weekend. State borders will remain closed to avoid in infection being re-introduced from elsewhere.

A friend's boss has just passed on that a likely announcement on Sunday will be that masks must be worn in public. Assuming this isn't complete BS, I wonder how many of those "in the know" have shareholdings or recent investments in the relevant companies?*

Lots of people on Faceache starting to make them at home and sell them on for £3-£5 per mask. Seems they have lots of customers!

On my bike ride today I came back through an area with a lot of factories

 

Seems like a lot more have cars parcked out side them - and more lorries are buzzing around the whole area

 

Looks like some factories/warehouses and other such places are starting up again

Talking about masks, surely some sort of guidelines/rules need to be in place for them to be of use? I mean, I'd look fabulous in one of these

 

 

but I don't think it'd protect me or others from COVID-19.

 

Also (I've been searching on Amazon), who the hell would want a Marine Le Pen mask? Have that many people in the UK even heard of her? And why is this mask being modelled by a "plastic girlfriend"?

May be worth asking if the local hospitals still needs them. Mrs Poole came home from work today (S Wales hospital) and said they no longer neeed donated equipment as they have had deliveries and are well stocked.

 

I am sure the groups making the completed visors are finding new markets as it were. mrwITch is only making the headbands

Sadly my nan passed away this morning after testing positive for COVID-19 last week. She was 87, suffered from Alzheimer's disease in a care home for the past 8 years. She was under sedation when she passed, so at least it was peaceful.

A significant point is what happens if you have kids

 

S0 - kids not at school, child care places still closed - but your employer says they are open and you should be coming into work

 

what rights do you have if you say you can't go to work??

 

and what rights do you have if you go back to work but the employer doesn't seem to have implemented the 2m rule as well as they might

e.g. everyone eats in the same canteen, everyone has to clock on at the same time

and all that

If there a way of reporting them??

 

and if you are an employer - where do you find the guidelines

 

SURELY all this should have been referenced in the broadcast yesterday?

 

 

Still - nice to see that we can now go to North Wales for a nice walk and laugh at the poor Welsh still having to stay at home
