mikeprice Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Rule 34 specialist donates their small stocks to NHS. NSFW subject matter. The number of ways that people can be weird never ceases to amaze me still - well done for donating them (if you read this site???? - maybe don't respond if you are on both)
mikeprice Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 There is some seriously scary stuff in that if you read through it

john Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 (edited) Yes! I am a man with long hair! I can leave it flowing in the wind! You not doing like many other guys and just buzzing it off for being annoyed with it then My Landlord and building manager have stopped accepting parcels for the apartments citing Coronavirus concerns for the staff they employ for that, you'd think fine people are home to get own packages except the building was built with no intercom from the outside world to flats onto to the Concierge desk which isn't manned fully now.... so packages are going undelivered now due to this GRRR Edited April 1, 2020 by john

mikeprice Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 My wife says I'll get into the over 70 shopping hours if I don't get it cut soon dunno why but she seems to think I need it cutting every few months - or less! before I met her I used to get it cut about every 6 months - or when the kids at school started telling me my eyebrows were 'looking freaky again'
elsiegee40 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Quite a few schools are doing this with their DT facilities

Pink_Panda Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 My wife would consider that grounds for divorce! my younger son has done it, luckily the clippers didn't give up. But yes, I'm not happy with it either. Luckily he's taking social distancing seriously keeping to his bedroom so I don't have to see his new hairstyle too often
LeMarchand Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Luckily he's taking social distancing seriously keeping to his bedroom If he's a teenager, doesn't he do that anyway?
smurfomatic Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Just found out my colleague/assistant has been put on furlough - the bursar was supposed to have told me, instead I found out when my colleague contacted me to check something about forwarding his emails!
Ditto Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Just found out my colleague/assistant has been put on furlough - the bursar was supposed to have told me, instead I found out when my colleague contacted me to check something about forwarding his emails! Sorry to hear that for your colleague. Is this a school? If yes, you would think that the role was budgeted for the school year? There are employers that have to take hard decisions, but school funding is not based on sales.

smurfomatic Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Sorry to hear that for your colleague. Is this a school? If yes, you would think that the role was budgeted for the school year? There are employers that have to take hard decisions, but school funding is not based on sales. We're an independent school, so our funding is basically based on sales! Announced yesterday that fees for next term will be reduced by a significant amount so we need to save money somehow. We had been told at the end of term gathering before the school closed, that wages were guaranteed until May, but obviously things have changed. The plan is for these staff (including teachers, TAs and admin staff) to auto-forward their emails to the main "school office" account. However, there are several key flaws in this plan: First, the email address sent out in the instructions to those furloughed was wrong. Second, this email account will now get hammered with 30 or so forwarded versions of the same email for every "all staff" message. Third, the school secretaries (who normally monitor this account) are on the furlough list so who is checking the emails?! Also, the message sent out didn't use BCC (the email was forwarded to me by one of the staff when the "school office" auto forwarding bounced back) so all those on the list got to see staff emails - including quite a lot of personal email accounts. Fortunately, other than dealing with the immediate issues around the email forwarding, this is SEP and I'm "on holiday" from Friday for two weeks, so I'm sure it'll be a quiet time off... 2

elsiegee40 Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Got a delivery from Tesco this morning (booked weeks ago) and it’s pretty much complete. Three substitutions, all sensible, and only potatoes missing. Such a relief. We are quarantined and the supplies were running very low indeed. 1
LeMarchand Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Our cat is finding this working from home malarkey exhausting. 3
LeMarchand Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Just done the weekly shop. Bit of a queue to get in, but OK. Stock not too bad. Little pasta, few eggs, low stocks on frozen meat replacement stuff and beer; otherwise not too bad. Loo roll supplies fine - to the extent that someone had donated one of the XXL 32 packs to Cushelle to the charity collection. Still lots of ditherers in store, though.
hardtailstar Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 You not doing like many other guys and just buzzing it off for being annoyed with it then Nah, its taken me years to get to the length it is so not a chance I will be shaving it all off! 1
