witch Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 The man is impossible He doesnt wear jewellery He doesnt wear aftershave He doesnt care about clothes He apparently doesnt need anything for his 3D printer hobby (we all jumped on that and bought every accessory known to man last year) He has a backlog of books to read He did an escape room for his birthday, and really loved it - but apparently doesn't want another one (What? He just might get one anyway at this rate) In the past I have come up with blindsiders - new camera, new phone, tablet, kitesurfing, photography course etc but this year the mind is blank He likes music but I cant find any bands he likes that are touring next year. The Specials, 2 tone anything, B52s, ZZTop, Grateful Dead, King Crimson Argghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
witch Posted December 2, 2019 Author Posted December 2, 2019 He's got one. It's on a shelf Ditto Helicopter
LeMarchand Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 There's always some ska/2 Tone band playing somewhere (they've got to top up that pension fund). Seems to be one most years at Victorious in Portsmouth (Specials this year, Madness last), but that's not until August. I could ask my source, but doubt they're that far into bookings yet. Surprised the B52s and ZZ Top are still going, and that the last 2 still have enough band members still breathing. Vinyls? (If needed, a record player too?) You could always borrow from FRIENDS and print out a load of Joey Witch Love Vouchers. 1

bald_pig Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 What kind of photography does he enjoy? Send him somewhere he can do it? As an example, I enjoy photographing motorsports, so sending me to a race event would be fantastic!

witch Posted December 2, 2019 Author Posted December 2, 2019 He doesnt really do a lot - I bought him a Canon 400D a few years ago and he likes to fiddle with it when we are on holiday. I have seen a much newer one on Marketplace - a Canon 1300D for £130 and I am tempted to get it - but would need to know if his lenses fit. He's done a one day photography course - the longer ones are really really expensive
LeMarchand Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 We have a record player and loads of old vinyl -yes, we are that old I have been looking for an experience day - he's done the driving ones But does he have archival quality blah blah blah vinyl? Has he driven The Batmobile? https://www.redletterdays.co.uk/experience/ref/csera/superhero-car-thrill-for-one Adopt/sponsor a child/panda/whatever? Don't know what happened to the gig line, but I'll ask.

Don't know what happened to the gig line, but I'll ask. Yes, he does have archival quality vinyl Not that he isnt a nice guy, but sponsoring something like that just wouldnt interest him. I already do sponsor a child The batmobile sounds great but it is quite a way from here and the nearest one has an upgrade fee of £25 for weekends He doesnt really get excited over stuff like that - he would enjoy it yes, but not be thrilled. He's done a microlight (he loved it, b£$%£% terrified me to watch), had a helicopter ride, all sorts

nickjelly Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 For the person that has everything... Choose.Love My folks have done this for me this year, and immediately on seeing the site they asked me to do the same for them.
Ditto Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Something consumable, a meal out, traditional tea and cake thingy, day trip etc. - there's lot's along the coast or you could take one in London with a show etc. Being consumable, something similar next time is easier. If all else fails, but him something that you want

elsiegee40 Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 We have bought very little for each other this year. Mr gee40 wanted a camera battery and a CD... I wanted a mincer attachment for my Kenwood mixer. Not exactly earth shattering! We have decided mutually to leave it at that and treat ourselves to some really good wine for the Christmas period instead. 4
Zammo Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Does he like Gardening? Loads of presents in that area
