  1. Watching Bad Company, think Utopia but in a theatre company (but I could also see it in a school…)
  2. Also ensure the docks are running the most up to date firmware as well, Vastly improved our surface dock issues when we went dual screen years ago.
  3. It would still require running cable, But we have done this with our security system (Button triggers relay - relay triggers the speakers or other actions as required such as duradisplays with messages). We've had the setup on both our old Tecom Challenger before being replaced and the replacement InnerRange integrity

  5. You could try just the outlook profile to start with: Control Panel -> Mail (32 bit) [from memory] -> then you select it from the list and remove -> restart outlook
  6. You can use the ignore function I believe: https://www.edugeek.net/ignore/
  7. I'm in a office with (alleged) adults, We didn't have many wireless keyboards/mice until covid and we had to appear in courts remotely so staff needing to go into the meeting rooms daily. Soo many lost dongles, so quickly (Even with "Plug directly into your surface and not the docks"). The best lesson I learnt was Number the sets, Dymo labelmarker on the smallest text size and then some clear sticky tape for the dongle and then I put the matching number on the keyboard or mouse (or both its a full set), generally in the battery compartment. Buy them USB hubs as well if needed (we have surface devices so were always limited on USB ports). I had to ewaste so many of the early sets because bits went missing.
  8. Wild guess would be how its encoding the token id before assigning it to the system? Does it assign the same ID number when you do it manually in the app compared to when AMI does it?
  9. From memory, They are no longer sold or produced...
  10. Simplest solution would be not to link it to either school, Have a dedicated system online payment system. Who owns/operates the canteen at the moment, is it one of the schools? parents group?
  11. We use Logitech MK240 combos for a few of our staff
  12. I use PowerPDF, can search and replace on text or manual selection etc
  13. Use the Client Portal function in AutoTask? https://ww1.autotask.net/help/Content/4_Admin/5ExtensionsIntegrations/CPPortalTaskfire/CLIENTPORTALOVERVIEW.htm
  14. We are a surface location, so we just have surface docks on our TVs and Projectors (some also have old school Microsoft Wireless Display adaptors, although not may use them). If you have a video meeting platform in place (eg: teams, zoom, etc), you could do something like a logi rally or poly studios setup so people can start adhoc meetings and present that way.
  15. Potentially ghostscript if you are into scripting it. If you are a windows person, It is a paid product but, I'm a fan of PowerPDF (nee Kofax, Nunance), you can batch per folder and then just batch the batches together.
  16. If its a flat surface, a square/rectangle of PVC (or similar) and then double side tape it in place?
  17. Most of the commercial headsets designed for softphones etc will handle this, Jabra/Poly [nee plantronics] etc (we have polys across our office, Only had to ever resync the USBs on one or two of the headsets out of ~70ish in over four years)
  18. A mod of a MadeByTio comic that appeared on reddit.

  19. I've not used it myself, But i've seen swank mentioned a few times in other k12sysadmin discussion locations.
  20. Just be cautious of using online depeding on what data is in said PDF. We use Tungsten Automation Power PDF (nee Kofax, Nunance) at work for editing PDFs, I've used its PDF->Doc Coverter a few times, It wasn't 100% but fairly close I found (although they weren't highly complex). It's licensed on a per seat basis with a perpetual license model.
  21. Power Outages and network outages are nothing new, and should already be documented in the disaster recovery plans when the new technologies were introduced and planned out.
  22. VLC with a custom skin to hide the options?
  23. Depends if its group shots, or if they just provide a grid of individual photos to make the class photo. I'm suspecting its the later but none of the articles i've seen has confirmed either way.
  24. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce5epgp2zdno
  25. Also check for battery swelling (easiest way to tell I found, especially to provide the photo evidence for warranty claims) is lay a ruler over the screen
