Just picked the kids up from school at 1pm.

I swear the staff were emerging before the kids were!

So, anyone still stuck in school making sure everything that should be turned off is off and the servers are settled down for the break?

Or did you beat the teaching staff out of the gates?

Last one here, we broke up yesterday but we've just done a 24 hour rolling upgrade of 350 PC's to 1809 and several servers to 2019. About to shutdown all non essential PC's, turn off the backup servers, set the alarms, lock the front gate and "work from home" for the next two weeks :)

We're still here, most kids and staff left on Wednesday afternoon... managed to get a few more migrated to W10 though :)

On the plus side the head's closed the school from today until Jan 3rd :)

Still here until 4 p.m....

Oh and we are having new elctronic/key fob type doors installed over the holiday.

I was only told they would need to be 'plugged into the network' and also have some type of software installed on an admin PC last week (they didn't seem to think I would need to know about that).

So I will also have to come in next week too!

Now, wher'e my 'Bah Humbug' hat....

I should have included 'And who is just sat if the office reducing a tub of Quality Street until just the toffee ones are left?' to the original post I think.

Yep, still here! Last day of term was Wednesday, so it's been dead the past couple of days. Annoyingly I have to come in Monday too but the caretakers normally turf us out at 12, hence not wasting a precious day of annual leave on it!

Full day here. LEA have mandated no early closing. Of course, this doesn't mean that any teaching is being done.

I don't mind, as I'm getting my super new beast of a machine set up.

It's not that I dislike them, its just you can demolish a tub faster if you leave them to last as they take to long to eat in comparison to the others.

Still here, on call over xmas too as Dubai are in work and the US guys have decided boxing day is a great day to test power so I have to remotely turn stuff off.

School finished at about 12:00 after a fire alarm activation at about 11:30 (deliberate false alarm)

I went off to order a new front door. I am home for the day now.

Edit: Bacon rolls with brown sauce being consumed now.

:)
