It's got to be/have: 2016 or newer Max Mileage 15,000 Petrol 4 or 5 door (hatchback/SUV/compact SUV/saloon) Min seats 5 Length no longer than 4.4 m 0-60 quicker than 9 seconds Luggage Capacity (Seats up) greater than 340 litres. DAB Radio Any recommendations or cars to avoid?

Boot space only 326 litres Should have said also must be able to accommodate two 6 feet adults in the rear comfortably....I've got tall daughters!

Your budget will get you a good model German saloon, including the more powerful of the six cylinder models. You could also get a decent petrol-electric hybrid model from Lexus or Volvo which will meet your criteria but have running cost benefits.

I'll expand a little: 2016 or newer - Currently got a 2013 Honda - 45k miles, just fancy a change and feel no point swapping unless I go 3 years newer. Max Mileage 15,000 - as above really. Petrol - always driven petrol, just a personal preference. 4 or 5 door (hatchback/SUV/compact SUV/saloon) - kids (17 and 20) still living at home - so rules out a 3 door as I'm still Dad's taxi on occasion. Min seats 5 - see above + 1 boyfriend! Length no longer than 4.4 m - I don't have off-road parking so being able to squeeze in to tight spaces is a real bonus to save parking in another street! 0-60 quicker than 9 seconds - prefer something that's fun to drive and give me overtaking opportunities even when fully laden. Luggage Capacity (Seats up) greater than 340 litres. - got to be enough room to easily swallow the golf bag and trolley/shoes and keep all the other rubbish that ends up in the boot of my cars, walking boots etc. DAB Radio - AM reception in the Honda is atrocious - imagine most cars these days would come with a DAB though. It's kinda like a funky Japanese mix between a MPV and a limousine. And with the 3.5V6 outta the 350z up front, Daddy will be more than happy with Sub 7 second 0-60 too! However at 4.835 m it's too long and would be too restrictive on parking spaces I'd be able to fit in to

A good read on whatcar and it's possibly an option...would need to get daughters to sit in it though as this is perhaps a deal breaker: It’s with regard to rear room that the CX-3 really suffers when compared with its rivals. You can only really fit two adults in and, even then, they will be quite cramped. There’s little leg room, particularly if the front seats are slid back, and taller passengers will find their heads brushing against the ceiling. Ultimately, the CX-3 doesn’t match a regular family hatch for practicality and interior space.

Colleague has one and it's a squash for me to get in the back behind someone of moderate height - I'm 5'6" - so I'm going to say no on that one. You could look at the Ford Kuga - it's 4.5m long, but has more than enough leg room and boot space for you... with 20k available to you you could nearly buy a new one too. 0-60 on the 1.6 ecoboost is 9.4s and the 180bhp non ecoboost is 8.9s Edited March 23, 2018 by Oaktech

I don't get why people say don't buy french, for the car nut maybe, but my 206 has served me well for the last 4 years and was only 2.5k! I would like a new car as this is still my first but i just don't have the money with going on holiday and saving to buy a house 1
