  1. In its defence, Inventry looked old fashioned 15 years ago. I suspect them and the SIMS team walk around claiming the Windows 2000 look never goes out of fashion.
  2. @msi_school are you Lightspeed? I'm not latest but not miles behind. Thanks
  3. Hello all, Since last week when Chrome 152 was released, I have multiple sites with secure login all being faced with a blank screen. Edge works ok. I tested Chrome 148 this morning and SAMPeople forexample worked. Refreshed to 152 and it stopped. Any thoughts?
  4. Its ok. It's not like they use the same password on every site or don't install security updates.
  5. Yes and no. I had to make my own certificate however I am rubbish at them. It took me (and Gemini) some time to not only make it but to use OpenSSL software to extract the key too. It worked but.... Fast forward to last Friday when I realised Locker was not talking to Net2 because of the cert. After alot of swearing, my excellent tech took the project on and managed to produce an inhouse SSL to match the old details, fixing my issue so I guess I'm saying to proceed with caution. If you really need, Id be happy to send you the instructions I wrote myself. Just PM me.
  6. I think I needed to download the latest Lightspeed software and a fresh certificate. Good luck
  7. plot twist... the self signed certificate from the Net2 API setup expires today! Thats where the problem is. Now if anyone knows how to generate a new one for a year, please do shout. Edit: I went through the rabbit hole of self created certificates and the pain in the a*** of extracting keys using OpenSSL however, I'd be interested to hear why Net2 didn't create a certificate valid for a year if anyone knows why.
  8. Good morning, Can anyone help me with the Net2 certificate? I had the "API TLS Certificate will expire in X" appear a while back so followed the instructions, downloaded and installed the self signed certificate, restarted the service and went on my way, assuming the new cert would take hold when the old one expired. Now I get the message its expired. This does not seem to be causing any operational problems (Locker is working) but I want the warning message to go away. What am I not doing correctly? Thank you
  9. I don't think we got it working in the end and as we were pushed for time, we abandoned the migration to Intune for the moment. Sorry.
  10. Ha yes! exactly this with our new license starting on Saturday. Honestly, it was shocking that this could happen, but the filtering onsite does not even revert to a basic filtering and allowed everything (the plug was pulled very quickly). Add to that it took 30 minutes for them to pick up a critical, site-wide system failure ticket and didn't pick their phone up..... I think Securley will be getting another customer next year.
  11. Ours has totally failed! No filtering site wide. Just us?
  12. Just to update this, yes they can migrate you (exporting from RBS seems quite easy). It took about a day for them to do it but the old one wasn't working much anyway so we didn't miss much. All seems fairly smooth. I don't work for them and it's still very new to me but based on my brief experience, schoolbooking.com seems to be working very well.
  13. "Can they pull the data from RBS or do you have to start again?" I don't believe so however I have a new core switch going in at half term so just going to manually create any bookings then.
  14. I've given up and am moving my stuff over to schoolbooking.
  15. Google Auth here. Given the comments on here and the s**t show their support has been over the past 12 months, I'm firmly placing blame with them.
  16. They came back to me a few days ago and said they would send it to their second tier support but not had anything back. I still get users complaining but little to no pattern. I've semi-given up and to be honest, and have a demo with SchoolBooking planned for next week. All going well I'll make the switch early next year and take the parent evening software too.
  17. A very good point. Thank you.
  18. Afternoon all, We are moving over to Intune from Mosyle for iOS and my senior tech has done a stellar job setting it all up but we are having problems getting Lightspeed to work or more to the point, getting it to register the current user. He has pushed the certificate out as well as the settings, mirrored from our current Mosyle system (which works) however its not working correctly so we are missing something I guess. I wondered if anyone could be kind enough to share a screenshot of their Intune Lightspeed configuration (with personal bits blanked out of course) so we can see what we are missing. Lightspeed don't seem to have a guide for Intune on iOS for some reason and their support has been slow coming back to us on the subject. This is our current web filter config (cert pushed out on a different policy). Filter Browsers - True User Defined Name - Lightspeed filter User Name - {{mail}} Filter Sockets - True Plugin Bundle ID - com.lightspeedsystems.iosrelayfilter Organization - our org name is in here Filter Type - Plug-in The app is there but it just won't register the user, even though its set in Intune and shows it elsewhere (we have the username appear on the passcode screen for example). Any thoughts Edugeek? Thank you
  19. Same here. I've contacted their support and they have not come back to me. Will be glad to out it.
  20. This. Not only do I not want unlicensed software (even if it is SIMS/FMS) but I don't want the ballache of maintaining a server holding the data it does just because someone may want to look back and see if they bought a teapot 5 years ago. I'll play about with the reports. I'm hoping either through FMS or SQL I can pull a huge CSV of every transaction. It won't be pretty but will work as an emergency archive. Thanks all
  21. finance is never happy
  22. Morning all, We are moving away from FMS shortly and although we are licensed with FMS for the best part of another year, I need to find a way to archive the data without keeping the server going. Migrating data to the new system appears to not be an option so can I assume I can create a report with literally every supplier and transaction ever made and export to excel? It wouldn't be a great experience but would allow us to look up old data if a query arises. Is a giant report the best option, or is there a better way? I don't want to have to keep the server alive for years, in case (let alone the license issue this would raise). Suggestions welcome!
  23. I'm going to raise a call with them to clarify. They have never mentioned us having to secure the box and can't find anything on their KB about it. Personally, I'd love to put Action 1 on it and see what happens.
  24. I don't suppose Entrysign have the ability to write back lesson attendance to a MIS does it? The lesson scan is literally the only reason we have Inventry (moved from Sign-in which was great). Thanks
  25. We had an audit from secure schools which somehow didn't flag it up.
