we dug it out and let Waze take us home, leaving about 3.30pm. (A6, A14, A1, A602, A10, M25) Got home at 5.45pm which was pretty good. No snow once we crossed back into Kent.

Daughter stuck in Berlin as Stansted closed. Ryanair didnt bother to tell them until after they had got to the airport. Theyve been in the queue for an hour and a half. Gone off snow a bit

They are putting people on Standby for tomorrows 6pm flight. So they might not get on that. She is due back at work on Tuesday and has no more holiday she can take

Looks like I did at home after my run at 8am yesterday morning.

It then snowed non stop till about 4pm ending up in 50mm on the road (and all over me car). Trying to get out of the parking spot was a bit of a mare, then almost got stuck jus round the corner from home.

Left home 30mins earlier for M25 journey just in case.

Several neighbours have abandoned attempts to move their cars after revving their engines and making no progress. From my front window I can see two cars in the road at crazy angles to the kerb. I think I will sit tight today.

No snow here - well a pathetic attempt yesterday which seems to have partially melted and then re-frozen overnight - followed by a light sprinkle afterwards resulting in a frozen mess on all the car windows which took nearly 15 mins to clear off

but basically enough to be a pain but not enough to be pretty or fun

or close the school

Made it out to Buckinghamshire and back yesterday to shop for an elderly relative. One clear track on duel carriageway and traffic only doing 30, don't think the gritters had been out.

Had to walk the last bit as only 4x4s could get up the hill!!!

I can now say I can do "proper" winter driving :)

Persisting it down with rain here in West Kent this morning. I am glad we made it home last night, but I still have no desire to go out :D

I was going to say, there was a nice flurry yesterday morning, but by midday the rain had come and taken it all away, and today is just plain miserable.

Probably about 0.5-1 inch here in Reading on Sunday morning. Pretty much all melted now :(

It must have fallen thick and fast though as I was designated driver on Saturday night- there wasn't a single flake at 04:30 Sunday morning and the roads were wet. Woke up at 9am to a blanket.
