  1. An ant dictator - Tyrant
  2. An ant that lives 10 years - decadant
  3. Werewolf in a river - Weirwolf Lost werewolf - wherewolf? Meditating werewolf - awarewolf No longer a werewolf - were-wolf
  4. Part of the reason for the changes is that VMWare have been acquired by Broadcom who are changing the pricing structures.
  5. PowerBI Pro is included in M365 A5 licences but not in M365 A3. Premium provides capacity but users still need a Pro licence. I asked about Premium user licences a while back and was told they didn't exist yet. That may have changed by now.
  6. Then there's Cornish place names and the tendency to shorten them. St Austell becomes Snozzle Launceston becomes Launsn etc...
  7. Mispronunciation that was written!! Place selling Camellias but because of the spacing we always read it as Camel Lias.
  8. Have used VIP previously via Jisc/Chest. Only used this when we needed licences and couldn't wait for the next ETLA purchase date. ETLA - Can only purchase twice a year VIP - available all year ETLA - Can only purchase for staff FTE VIP - purchase quantity needed Cost per licence - VIP is nearly double ETLA!! Worth noting that Chest/Jisc are currently negotiating a new ETLA agreement with Adobe so some of the above may change.
  9. Time flies when you're having fun. Fruit flies like a Banana
  10. Other peoples cats on video calls
  11. There is no exemption for Java for education (unless you're teaching it!!) so same rules for us as for everyone else
  12. Have a look at this company https://www.hands-free.co.uk/ We get Dragon NS Pro for £232.00 from them. Only downside is the license is tied to a specific user so not suitable for general usage.
  13. Not today but while on holiday in Somerset last week. Went on a bat walk, with bat detectors. I think I was channeling my inner 5 year old Saw Soprano Pipistrelles, Common Pipistrelles and Daubentons
  14. USB deskfan and powerpack for the tube. Also, worked out where to sit to get breeze from the vents. Not looking forwar to journey home though!!!
  15. Shared device licence is based on staff FTE but then covers all staff and students on your machines (and staff on their own machines). It also overrides the named user limit on the number of machines the desktop parts can be used on. Would strongly recommend seeing if you are eligible for Chest. I'm at a university so we use this route.
