hardtailstar Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 My mum is a church organist, do you want examples of traditional organ music or played via CD?
XiJ Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 We walked out to the Imperial March from Star Wars (Darth Vaders Theme). played on the organ. It was brilliant and the photos of people laughing and smiling on the way out are great.

john Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 My sister had Procol Harum whiter shade of pale to walk into the other week and Mendelssohn wedding march on the way out. Whiter Shade of Pale was one of my dads favourite songs so given his sudden passing at the start of this year he was not able to personally walk her down the isle so my mum did that bit but she felts she was with him as it was a song he liked and she had a photo of him attached to her bouquet. Register signing music was up to the organist as if you specified it could cost more money, as it was she had to pay £15 for them to learn Whiter Shade of Pale. I did suggest something more lively for coming out but sadly she felt for older relatives benefit she should have the traditional one somewhere.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 My friend sat at the back and played this one guitar for us https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njlXOvMa8sk Good to get a Dexter reference in too!
gaz350b Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) +1 for acoustic/classical? guitar instead of the normal organ if they let you. Although we picked hymes That were playable on a guitar some simply don't work! We had a local guy called Steve bean play at both the church and our venue. He must have played for a good 6 hours and was worth every penny. Edited September 12, 2016 by gaz350b
