You can't stick with what you've got, 2010 is out of date and gives no real advantage for the upheaval of moving to something new, 2013 and 2016 are your only real options, and there is little day to day difference in the UI from 13 to 16, so go for 16!

We will move everyone over to 2013 over the Summer break with a view to moving all stations to 2016 early next year (possibly?) #GradualTransition

rich_tech Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 only other thing to consider is what version of Exchange server you are using possibly if its not the office365 product, 2016 won't work with Exchange 2007 or older from what I recall a while back, it refuses to connect and configure, 2010 onwards your fine I believe.

Exchange? It's a little primary school - they are migrating from RM Easymail to the Office 365 offering....

He's been told in the past that we change too much over the summer Office 2016 is really like 2013. I did the switch when 2016 came out and it went fine. I can't notice any difference.

Thought you might have been using Small Business Server or something similar with an exchange product included, I know when I worked in a school it was an issue upgrading because the LEA were using exchange 2007 at the time and that wouldn't work across to 2016.
