I was born up north in Greensville, 1998

I did science all my life, in a lab near Devil's Gate

And I've seen this world about me, bend and flip and change

Into something green -- like an anger cloud

+1 for The Fall. OH and I have been glued to it, although only an episode a night, as I work in education IT and she runs a nursery, for some reason at the moment our normal bedtime is the time we used to go out in an evening back in the day...

Had a Black Mirror binge over the weekend.

Spoilers for type of ending below the lorem ipsum.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nullam rutrum orci quis malesuada dignissim. Curabitur vulputate arcu vitae urna molestie suscipit. Nullam elementum dui non enim tincidunt, in euismod felis porttitor. Aenean aliquet gravida turpis, vel aliquet augue condimentum quis. Maecenas nec vulputate orci, id laoreet mi. Suspendisse in ipsum.

Charlie Brooker must be getting soft: You could argue that the end of "Black Museum" was positive, "Striking Vipers" at least a compromise and "Hang the DJ" definitely had a happy (and romantic!) ending. The final shot of "Metalhead" was a kick in the nether regions, though.

Haven't watched any of that since 15 Million Merits. I keep meaning to, but then I remember how gut-wrenchingly hollow that episode made me feel, and then I carry on watching Star Trek TNG instead :)

Well, the TOS BM (USS Callisto) has a positive ending...

Yeah, BM does get pretty bleak - though 15m Merits is probably one of the bleakest! "San Junipero" is quite positive, though.

Finally ploughing through Line of Duty after completing The Fall. Into series 3 now, and my god is it compelling, now I believe all the hype it got when it was big! Well worth a watch, even if all conversations between me and t'other half mostly revolve around this and putting the washing out!

Finally got to the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" ep of Batwoman. While it didn't make a lot of sense as it's the only Arrowverse show we watch (started a few, but rapidly gave up), it was nice to see Kevin Conroy playing Batman in live action (though it's now obvious why he's best known as a voice actor) and especially two past Superman actors (and one Lois Lane) reprising their roles.

Finished Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries last night - just before Netflix takes them off! Fun, undemanding stuff. Not sure why anyone would stay with her aunt, as the house had two murders within 3 episodes, and I'm sure those weren't the first two! Couple of odd eps, though. One had a "Game of Thrones" pair of siblings that no-one at Château LeMarchand realised were supposed to be siblings until a chance comment towards the end - and none of the characters acted like they knew the pair were related, either. The marriage at the end was sparsely attended, too. Particularly odd as many of the regulars were hanging around outside the building.

Gonna watch the film soon.

Just watched The Boys Season 2. Really enjoyed it.

Though when Mrs Patmore turned up and dropped a c-bomb, that took me out of it a little!

Utopia on Prime is a bit scary.. John Cusack is cropping up in a few things like this.

Also watching Battlestar Galactica as I missed it first time round.

How is Utopia so accurately predicting 2020?

Finished Final Space

Started Raised by Wolves, got to The Mandalorian crossover episode

I recently discovered that Disney+ has got almost all of the Simpsons episodes on there. I’ve been watching episodes from the first few seasons.

They are as good as ever but there are three things which are annoying me:

1) They’ve cropped the original 4:3 picture to 16:9, so the top and bottom of the picture is cut off.

2) Whatever they’ve used to upscale the picture to 1080p and deinterlace it is friggin’ AWFUL.

3) The Disney+ app on the Amazon FireTV is incredibly annoying: slow, dropped frames and takes about 15 seconds to pause a video.

We are 'box setting' Jack Ryan, and The Man in the High Castle (both on Amazon, we have finished season 1 for both)

The Man in the High Castle is slow-going, but is holding the interest nonetheless (for now anyway)

There’s a setting for the ratio, to change it back to 4:3 somewhere in the settings for the show.

Star Trek Discovery Season 3. As much of a Trekkie that I am the first two series were so so, however the two episodes of this new series have been great! Looking forward to the new storyline [emoji846]
