Just started watching After Life. It's ok, amusing in places. I've watched the first 3 episodes so far, they seem to follow a bit of a formula, and rely on the F and C words for some of their humour. I'll stick with it and see how it goes.

Started Willow on Disney+. It was "OK", but not as much fun as the trailers suggested. Early days yet, though, so it could well take flight.

 

The Welsh Tourist Board must be looking forward to big business next year judging by the gorgeous locations on show, though!

I was going to give Willow a go tonight. Didn't realise it was filmed in Wales, I'll have to look out for locations I recognise.

Just finished Andor, and many scenes were filmed on Cleveleys prom, which is a favorite walk of mine! Very strange to see the cafe (the 'shop' Andor was arrested trying to get too) made to look unrecognisable.

Three Pines [Prime Video] We are 4 episodes in to a ten episode run (according to IMDB)

 

Inspector Gamache (Alfred Molina) who is willing to disobey orders when it suits him, is investigating a murder, but also helping with a possible missing person case...

Just started this last night. First episode seemed all over the place. Death scene was brilliant 🤣. Will see how it goes.

 

We’ve just finished Reacher which I enjoyed (having seen no films nor read the books).

Apparently the TV Reacher matches the author's description. Unlike Tom Cruise. (The films are OK though).

 

Impressed by the show, Mme LeMarchand read one of the books but gave up on it.

I've watched this twice now... really like the actor in it. I actually started watching the TC film last night for the umpteenth time.

 

Started Wednesday yesterday to get away from the Xmas films. my pre-teen loved it... although her moodiness has made us give her the nickname Wednesday now.

Not saying that Jack Reacher isn't a doll (The character isn't exactly deep) but if nothing else, he is very well described in the books by Lee Child. Body builder physique, 6'5" tall, approaching 40 in the first book. He's a man mountain in effect. In one book, he was so jacked he stopped a bullet with his pectoral muscles, albeit that did put him in a coma. With all of that in mind, "Tom Cruise" shouldn't be the first name that comes to mind when doing a casting for a film adaptation because he doesn't fit the bill for any of those criteria.

Finished The Umbrella Academy Season 3 earlier this week. Really enjoyed it, though the ending was a bit confusing: I could just about see hoe the character who was getting a "happy ending" could be explained (though not sure how both characters that they wanted to be with could co-exist) but couldn't understand why one of the newbies was nowhere to be seen.

 

Next season is the final one, so hopefully things will be clearer.

Finished Season 2 of The Warrior Nun, and while it wasn't quite as good as season 1 and there are no plans for a season 3, at least they left enough trails that could be picked up in the future though what the antagonist could be next time is a question mark

Another one to highly recommend Wednesday, absolutely loved it from start to finish. Everything from it's humour, the storyline itself and the acting is just brilliant. I'm not saying it was 100% perfect, but it's one of the best things I've managed to watch this year.

Last year we watched Chucky, the TV series based on the Child’s Play movies. We enjoyed it.

 

We have been watching series 2 and abandoned it. Extremely disappointed, the storyline is terrible. Cannot recommend.

I'm probably going to get rinsed for talking about reality TV, but is anyone else watching Traitors on BBC? I could take or leave the group challenges, but the "social game" part is interesting.

Have to admit that I haven't seen it, except for one trailer. That led me to believe that I really wouldn't like it, and that's the promotional item that is intended to persuade me to watch it!

I hate reality shows and consider them the modern equivalent of the circenses part of the Roman panem et circenses. But each to their own as I suspect I'm the only one here who holds two of my favourite shows of recent years ("The Magicians" and "Hotel del Luna") in such high esteem.

5Foot2 likes "In For a Penny" (It was on ITV2 this morning) She says it's Stephen Mulhern's "cheeky chappy" persona and the banter that comes with it when he interacts with members of the public that makes it for her.

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Season 3 (Prime Video) 8 episodes, about 50 minutes each.

 

We have watched episode 1, although all episodes are available to stream now.

Watched the first 2 and its pretty good, I do like Mr Watson as a action hero.
