I used to fervently pay attention to it but.. Eh. I'm no less of a gamer, though. I dunno. Maybe I felt it was too console-focused.
synaesthesia Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 I won't be buying a One X as I have a fairly beefy gaming PC and have owned an Xbox One S for only almost a month now. It's why I'm glad Forza 7 will be Windows 10 as well, as my PC and the slimmed down Forza 6: Apex for Windows 10 has ruined Forza 6 on the Xbox for me! EDIT: Oh, and I forgot perhaps one of the bigger highlights of EA's conference, Star Wars: Battlefront 2. I was really hoping for some more Star Wars news, as they mentioned they had several projects in the works. But Battlefront 2 looks pretty good. They've brought back the old class based system and they've extended the points system that was sort of a thing in the original Battlefront 2 (of the PS2/Xbox era) so that you can earn points to use vehicles and heroes. Looking forward to BF2 however I sincerely hope they ditch the pay to win thing. Microtransactions should never exist for that purpose. Cosmetic stuff, yeah fine but P2W can do one.
DeGrimmy Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Ooh, and I've just had a thought! Microsoft announced that the Xbox One will be receiving backward compatibility for original Xbox games. I wonder if that will include the original Star Wars: Battlefront series! I absolutely adored Battlefront 2!

Initial impressions are its stuck in uncanny valley territory every time you see a character speak its creepy, as always for me stealth is a bit annoying took me about 3/4 attempts at a tutorial due to. To be honest it just feels like the last tomb raider game but reskinned not that thats a bad thing as i really liked the last 2 tomb raider games the fact ou start with a bow probably explains that i barely used owt else in tomb raider. biggest negative is how noisy my ps4 gets when playing it sounds like a jet engine lol Got any further? It seems like it opens up a lot further than TR (which i always thought was very short) I'd also say HZD is harder than TR... Currently on a long 2000 step walk to a town in HZD (can't remember the name...) Managed to kill some mahoosive machine bird after about 15 minutes fighting it (+ 5/6 times of failing before hand)...i can see this route being difficult.
korifugi Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Looked at my backlog of games and decided there's a few I need to finish - so, getting the 'korifugi is a relentless git' treatment now are Dragon Age: Origins on the PS3, and Diablo 3 (aiming for Platinum) on the PS4. Still carving through (and really enjoying) Persona 4 on the Vita.

Im probably going to try and get further tonight. I found the last 2 tomb raider games about the right length tbh i will agree they arnt the longest games ever but i finished them about the same time i was starting to get bored with them - - - Updated - - - Still carving through (and really enjoying) Persona 4 on the Vita. so your the one who bought a vita lol

I did think about getting one but only for remote play so i could play persona 5 in bed lol

Killed some big thing in the village (using lots of medicine and dying at least once). Im not sure its harder than tomb raider the deaths seem a lot less gruesome (ive not impaled my head on a tree and died hanging in the air for instance). I think ive just got to the point where it opens up and becomes less linear but thats the point i stopped (and would of stopped earlier if i could of found a save spot lol. Its fun so far but can be frustrating and im not sure clicking in the stick for run works well i think id rather have it on a button but they all do something id hate more on a click. I really wish i could use my xbox pro controller on it that way i could map it and purple vision to a paddle (dosent help ive never liked dual shock controllers id rather use a duke)

This trailer is not safe to play at work if you have the volume up as there are lots of mother:censored: f-bombs dropped throughout the thing. Looks pretty, but what's with all the f-bombs? Also, am I the only one concerned that a) that vehicle may have had people aboard and b) that the debris would fall over a populated area?

localzuk Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I have to say, all in all, E3 was disappointing this year. Yet more remastered old games! Ubisoft pulled a few interesting things out of the bag though. South Park mobile game, that space/toy game, and Beyond Good and Evil 2. They really should give up on Steep, and Far Cry 5 looks pretty (at the moment) but looks like it might be yet more of the same.

sted Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 They really should give up on Steep true but its not like its actually bad its just empty and can be frustrating. i wish you could just have a list of "missions" pick one do it them pick another rather than having to search a white expanse for stuff to do. when actually in missions it can be great fun but theres too much down time imo

The One X does look good, but the only thing i use my xbox for now is Fifa, I've moved nearly completely over to PC gaming. Prob get the new fifa on it also

Prob get the new fifa on it alsoI've gone the other way and moved almost completely away from my gaming PC, spent almost a grand upgrading it a couple of years back and now it is no more than a glorified kodi box sat on a chest of drawers in the bedroom
