I've not picked up the camera for any "serious" photography in getting on for 12 months. I really ought to get back in to it, I used to really enjoy it. These are a couple of my personal favorites:

Our school is getting rid of the dark room... I was offered an enlarger and some equipment! I just need to get round to making blackout curtains for the kitchen, dig out my Dad's old SLR which he gave me (20 years older than me!) and I'll be back enjoying 35mm! I love it - favourite subject when I was in college, spent all my spare time in the dark room!!!

You really can't beat 35mm unless you go medium format. I regularly use an Exakta Varex VX of 1952 vintage (5 years older than me), my first "proper" camera, a Ricoh KR5 bought with my first pay cheque in 1979 and a Pentax LX of 1980 vintage, which I brought second hand in 1999. I think it's really cool to use a camera that is 60 years old, which is still working perfectly. I'll have to see about scanning some of my pix, as I don't do digital, unless I'm selling something on ebay. Since I'm no Edward Weston, maybe I won't scan them!

Andy Jordan is at Oulton Park 2013, however the Toyota, Clio, Porsche & Focus are all from Snetterton 2013 never got round to sorting this years photos.

I got a second hand Petri TTL back in 1975 and it still produces some decent shots. I think that film cameras are good for learning the basics. A roll of film is finite which kinda focuses the mind on getting the right shot before you run out of film rather than digital where you can click away forever

I happen to run a few photography websites - teaching and learning for people interested in good photography. I'm not into photography myself but as my mother is, so we decided to put our hobbies together and created A community photo gallery - Perfectly Captured Gallery <- it's a little old now, but it has a nice niche fan base. it's a bit of a plug but as flicker is listed, and our website is about photography, I thought it might be a nice share.
