OverWorked Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 * 1 bottle wine from the head (everyone got one - but nice anyway) * 2 bottles of decent beer from a teacher (great bloke) * 1 heavy parcel from the women in the office (bit worried about that one, knowing them - daren't open it in front of family) * 1 bottle of something from a teacher * 1 box chocs from a teacher [i feel a bit guilty about saying this, but what the heck. The last item comes from a teacher who shouts at me in front of the kids all year round. This happens every year. They treat me like a bad pupil, then buy me small gifts at Christmas and summer. I'm sure that means something, but can't think what.]
russdev Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 two prezzies from staff members some cards then we all do secret santa each year Russ
Andrew_C Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Two cards from current teachers; and a fist full of M&S tokens from a retired one! (I still record some French TV for her on the odd occasion)
beeswax Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I got a card from the Finance Officer. The head of ICT said she's written out cards for us but had "left them in the car" beeswax
SpuffMonkey Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 The only cards any of us IT guys got was from the Admin staff - not a single teacher bothered with a card - thanks *not*. In fact in my 3 Christmases here - only 1 teacher has ever given me a card - and that was a long term supply guy - who was always exquisitely polite and friendly - needless to say - he left to work somewhere else.
MikeW Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 20 bottles of Stella (Head of ICT) 1 bottle red wine (Dep Head) and some cards javascript:emoticon('post', 'message', '') Yeah !! 1
Rozzer Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 If only i did have 2 cars given to me sorry for the typo. I have been offered a load of free drinks for the christmas party on tuesday. I wish i made a list now. Ross

mattx Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 The kids and teachers finish on Thursday - I finish on the 19th. I have sweet Fanny Adams. [ And that's how it normally is, until the VERY nice school Secretary normally gives me some of her stuff for me to take home for my kids ]
witch Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I will get....nothing except a small and greatly appreciated gift from my ICT co ord. I have never had anything else. In fact, in the school I am leaving, the TAs and me actually got presented with some chocs in the final assembly one year - but not the following year even though it was the same head teacher - very odd
Little-Miss Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Well, this is my first xmas at this school... We finish on the 19th. We're doing secret santa.....dread to think what im going to get... At my last school the head of ICT used to give me wine and chocolates...but we had to do it in secret because he never got the NM anything, (like many) he couldnt stand her.
