  1. removed entirely - more censorship please
  2. i love my thick-rimmed glasses and my unkempt hair! people always comment on both - such a horrible trait is envy
  3. the fact that you are both 'hungover' and 'ramble' makes perfect sense to us men...which is to say, you are doing a fine job
  4. especially when i consider ranger to be carp!
  5. Are you using roaming profiles? We had this same problem. I stopped using roaming profiles (after realising they weren't needed anyway) and literally overnight the problem disappeared 8) . I did a lot of research (on the net, peoples experiences etc) on RP's before ditching them and found most people seem to have had problems with them! getting rid of them was one of the best things I ever did! i am not using ranger!!! my logon times are 10 secs. think you have the post mixed up!!!

  7. see my earlier post re 'hotlist' of topics - it makes absolute sense also in this context http://www.edugeek.net/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=27073#27073
  8. @ric: only on fridays (have a lovely weekend).
  9. i buy hp 'business' workstations at all of my schools: solid, reliable, very well put together, much better component-wise than bloody dell...
  10. i use mimo linksys access points - reliable, sturdy, very fast throughput, easy configuration, elegant management web-based console...i tried belkin at one of my previous schools: they certainly do work 'straight out of the box', but at least three (3) of the access points 'died' within a couple of months, so i question their longevity. having said that, belkin offer lifetime warranty and shipped me out three new no quibbles, and i do know of schools who have absolutely no probs with them at all...but overall i still prefer the linksys...
  11. 5 domain servers (ibm and dell). 3 nas kits. 6 mimo wireless (linksys). 600 desktops (hp). 250 laptops (ibm). 25 b/w printers. 12 colour printers (hp).
  12. i always thought the irony lie in the fact that both were carp...and that people would want to spend money on them...
  13. i just created a booking form within microsoft access - share it out and mark it read-only: bob's your uncle and it costs nothing to implement...:-)
