Just how appreciated are you?

We finish a week tomorrow, and so far we have 1 card between us.

Don't expect anything though, at the most I think we've gotten 1 small box of something between us from 1 person.

 

PS I'm half asleep this morning too, took me ages to figure out this thread started 3 years ago!

Diddly squat here, no surprise there, but hey who cares, I'm leaving on the 18th!

Already been invited to my new workplaces Christmas do and I don't even work there yet, what does that tell you!

Not had anything so far, its the Christmas doo tomorrow night so am expecting a few beers off people.

 

Hopefully get some presents off some staff next friday

My wife & I were discussing this a little while ago; she maintains that as part of a 'team' (She is a school science technician) she would not want or expect her colleagues in the science dept to reward her any more than they would reward anyone else in the dept and to do so would be demeaning to her.

 

I must admit I am inclined to agree. Here at my school most support staff seem to receive a 'bottle' from SMT, but teachers don't.

The kitchen staff have just given me a lovely homemade ginger cake (and only me) to say thank you for helping them out with carious things (including the catering company's laptop) this term. :)

 

I LOVE GINGER CAKE! Especially the one made here!
