I see you have two mugs on your desk. Is one cooling while you slurp from the other? I must try that - maybe I won't as I'm down to 5 coffees a day now.

Actually I have 4 mugs on my desk, just the others are hidden amongst the debris! I have one that I drink from and several that have never been used. There's one being used as a pen pot, one that just sits there and one that some very lovely people gave me at BETT this year, that has a lid :)

Bit of a mess at the moment

That is most certainly not a mess......

Please find the following: 2 more screens, a tool kit (incomplete) 3 Mugs from different suppliers, some random cables, a PC magazine, some earphones, any inetrnal card and 3 DC/DVD 's without cases.

Sprinkle liberally across desk ensuring that either the mouse or the Keybaod are partially buried

Ah I see you have one of those expensive iBuckets!

I have a water cooler outside my office that isn't plumbed in so I have to empty the overflow tank in it occasionally.

How many people do you guys share an office with? I share it with the network manager, another IT tech and the Frog Technician.

Has anyone tried Kissing the frog technician to see what he will turn into?

[*]the banana is ready to eat today; the best place I've found to ripen bananas is on the PC

One more day and you'll be able to eat that with a straw :)

I like my bananas quite ripe. The window of perfect ripeness is very narrow this time of year, unlike in winter, where they sit there and can take weeks to reach the perfect sogginess. It they go too far, you can always make smoothies from them.

It did look like it was on the edge of decency in the pic didn't it?

I keep a bowl of fruit (with bananas) near the window. cant eat them, unless there a dark shade of black!

We're in an open plan office. I share with my five colleagues in Tech Support, two more in the Data department and about another ten or so from the Student Services and Exams departments. Plus the director of the department who has an self-enclosed at the edge.

There can be friction sometimes...

We cant have fruit at my place, it would be just left to rot if no one ate it.

Some of these desks are quite clean, but I could not stand having a desk opposite someone. I prefer to face the door or a wall than a person.
