  1. I am from an LA and we do use Vlans. We have a central switch at each site with a pair of Vlans, 1 for the curric network which has a class B and 1 for the admin network which has a Class C. At my sites rules on the switch and ACL's can be used to allow the networks to talk
  2. When you say a separate network structure are you meaning different links and total separation or do you have a single link split between networks using Vlans
  3. Firewall??
  4. post the error

    Beards

They do help on a night out if you drink to much to remember what you ended up eating at 11pm when you rolled out of the local. There is always a subtle reminder

    Beards

A beard in my life is simply my own lazyness and apathy. I don't think I have ever actually decided to grow a beard but rather have just not bothered to shave for a day or 2 and then liked the rugged look. When i do let it grow it gets the same level of grooming as the rest of me gets.
  7. While I do think that the responsibility for the security of the shared folders lie with the network manager at a site it can be confusing know what access to folders is actually needed and where data actually lives. When I looked on support net for permissions and folder permissions for SIMS .net I found this Each user who is running SIMS .net must have the 'Full Control' permission to the following files and folders: - C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Temp - OR - C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp - C:\Windows\Temp - My Documents - C:\Windows\SIMS.ini - SIMS .net folder (usually located in C:\Program Files\SIMS\) On the SIMS Server, where the Setups directory is stored: - S:\SIMS (where S:\ is the mapped folder) This was in KB31300 -Workstations not automatically upgrading themselves after a SIMS update has been run on the server
  8. how well is your loft insulated. You may have heat leaching into the loft or space and hitting cold inner lining (felt) and causing condensation. This can built up and slowly drip down onto the ceiling and then find its way through at the gaps at the edge of the ceiling
  9. use somehting like a monster plug. I have mine set up for the lounge so that when I turn of the TV it notices that power is no longer being drawn and shuts down 3 sub plugs into which I have my Bluray player, my backlight and a phone charger. All power up when I turn on the TV. They also avoid spikes and the internet link is filtered through it.
  10. Are you wanting to power this down as part of a power saving function or as part of a not braodcasting a SSid when you are not there or not able to use it
  11. In all seriousness however a good effort guys with £500+ raised by simply allowing the growth of a top lip hair piece. And there is no reason why this shouldn't grow further as we put in a final after payday plea to you all. We have all undoubtably enjoyed the banta from our friends Family and work Colleagues with the knowlege that we are raising money for a very worthy cause. Come on Geekers this is a chance for a round of applause for the efforts, made in terms of small yet vital contrubutions to the pot Yours with a stylish now clean lip(and happier Wife) James
  12. Defo the chaplin, reclaim the chaplin. Given I am a slightly large fella that Charlie I would feel that this is a better comparison
  13. And my final day at work led to a challenge to the guys, if I went for a certain style for the day they would make some contributions.
  14. really good buy, does what is says on the tin. Also use it in the bathroom on the tiles and the shower screen
