Hi All, i need to edit a registry key to add ".old" to the end of it on a number of domain machines. Could anyone let me know how best to go about this? I was thinking GPO or script to trigger a .reg file. The key in questions is - HKU\S-1-5-20\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform needs to become HKU\S-1-5-20\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform.old Any help much appreciated. how would I go about identifying the correct root cert? I have already installed the cert which presents the error. It was installed into the trusted root authority folder

Could I create a whole new self signed cert just for autodiscover.domain.com and use that along side the existing one? Really cant go down the road of paying for anything.

Thanks for the reply. I want to avoid having to buy a cert. Client doesn't want to spend £. They currently have a self signed cert which covers mail.domain.com, remote.domain.com but not autodiscover.domain.com. Now when a PC, which is not on the domain, using Outlook to connect to the exchange server they get the name mismatch error all the time because it cant find autodiscover.domain.com in the cert.

Hi All, I need to add autodiscover.domain.com as a SAN to my existing self signed exchange cert. How do I do this? If I have to create a new one that's fine but some instruction would be great.

Hi All, I am just about to have a breakdown over this one. Basically, its a long story of how I ended up here but, I need to be able to pull a mailbox (or individual mails) out of an Exchange edb file. I know there are lots of third party tools that can do it but they are massively expensive for what will be a one time use. I have seen talk online of using exchange recovery groups but when creating mine always errors. If possible would someone be kind enough to either link to or explain in here a way I can do it. I am running Exch 2007 on server 03. I don't mind how it is done but I need to retrieve these emails asap. Thanks all

Hello, I am currently working on an exchange server with around 20 users. Each user has a number of different email addresses, first name, initials, both etc. I now need to replicate all email addresses but change the domain name of each whilst keeping the original intact and just adding the new ones. So, as an example I need [email protected] to become [email protected] but without losing the 1.com address. I have tried creating a custom mail policy but it will not seem to do anything, wont even create the new policy, let alone action it. Here is the code I am using - >> New-EmailAddressPolicy -Name "Domain Swap" -IncludeRecipients AllRecipients -E nabledPrimarySMTPAddressTemplates "SMTP: %g.@*****.net" My plan was to use this with a different naming convention each time but if there is an easier way to attack this please suggest. any advice would be great, thanks.

Cert 1 Issued by - domainname-servername-CA template - Domain Controller requester name - domain/servername$ Cert 2 Same as above but using Web Server template and requester name - domain/administrator Cert 3 Same as Cert 2 but requested by different user. Spice works kid of does what i want. The other functionality I wanted to use which i should have said earlier is to give each one a ref number which links to a file in a cabinet containing the media. EG - i search for adobe acrobat writer 10 and it comes up with the record showing who has a license, where they are and what number ref the media is. Every thing I can find online is for books or movies which doesn't really fit.

Hi All, I am looking for an application which will allow me to log all my software discs and then allow me to search for a name, type or user to pull up their software. So for example, i need to know who has an adobe Premier CS3 licence, i can search for Premier or Cs3 and bring up the records Any ideas? Thanks

Hi All, I need to source a cabinet/box which can house a standard desktop PC. It has to be lockable and either with or without active cooling is fine. I also need it to secure it to a desk so mounting holes are required. Does anyone know any good UK suppliers for this kind of thing? Time is of the essence on this one so a company who have them in stock rather than custom built would be prefferable. Thanks all.
