sonofsanta Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 (edited) My house is in the middle of a massive upheaval renovation-wise and I find myself unable to get to my computer to load up a new audiobook onto my MP3 player to listen to in the car. I therefore find myself in need of many podcasts to help the hour's journey pass more pleasurably than it would listening to Radio 1. At the moment the only ones I really listen to are Rum Doings and, when it's on, Infinite Monkey Cage. I tried RadioLab but didn't get on with it. General nattery ones or sciencey ones are more to taste, or anything where a topic is discussed intelligently, but I'm not really fussed over news-style podcasts because anything I want to know about technology or games I'll have just read anyway. Toadie from Neighbours and being rubbish at Warhammer in one episode? It's like a podcast of my brain! 1

Greenbeast Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Cool, you'll recognise some recycled content and stories, which is only natural given the time span and also when they released the podcasts it was essentially meant as if you hadn't religiously listened to the radio show. It's great seeing things develope as you move through them.

Love me some Adam & Joe, was watching the first series when it went out on Channel 4 all those years ago listened to their podcasts when they came out but I fear there won't be anymore now, there's rumblings that they've fallen out again. Been loving me the AnswerMeThis this last week, it has proper tickled my funny bone in the car. Got some of the various short story ones queued up as well for this week, and then I'll try and dig up the Ricky Gervais ones cos I never did actually listen to them. Tah folks

If you want some geeky podcasts then the verge, and amore light hearted tech news and reviews This is only a test If your into gaming then Giantbombs Bombcast or the escapists mags podcast . Which is very random and i think quite funny, they have done several series over the years (currently Sowerby and Luff's Fat Chance) previously 'Big Squeese' and 'Big Bang' hope you have fun. 1
