Hi, recently got HAP installed for a school that I'm working alongside currently. We want to customise the "Home Access Plus+" shown here: Home Access + .... To the name of the school, like this: Home File Access - ICT@StrathmoreSC (Strathmore...) Any idea on how to do this? I'm sure @nickbro would, but can't find anything on the site already relating to this. Also, within the Login.aspx you can specify the page title, which I have done. However, post login, it beings up the "Home Access Plus+" naming on the Tab, I'd ideally want this changed to "%SchoolName% - Cloud Portal" is possible, any idea how to do any of this? We're set after this, it's been great! Whistler.

Hello Nick, I have recently installed Home Access Plus + on our school system. I have noticed this problem when trying to access picture files. This also happens on the latest 6.3. You can’t delete or rename picture files, in both extended view or basic. I can see on the server that the file is being used by the user who logged on to Home Access Plus, and my guess will be that it is the thumbnail view that causes the problem. With other file type it works fine. Also I noticed that the school name doesn’t appear anymore on the main page. Is there a way to put it back? One more problem is that when users are browsing in basic view every time they move to a folder they are asked again should they view it in extended or basic mode. Would be nice if it just stayed at basic mode with out being asked so many times. Many thanks Z. Shadar St. Dominic’s School Here are the error message for both basic view and extended view. Hello everyone, Got a bit of an issue with HAP at the minute - it works fine on Chrome but when trying it on IE an error message is displayed. The version of HAP is 10.1 and it is running on Server 2012 R2 (IIS 8.5) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone, Just trying to get the Timetable feature working. I have done the export from SIMS, and entered UPNs into the employeeID field in AD. However, when going to the Timetable.aspx page nothing happens and using the Inspect function of Chrome the following error is displayed: timetable.aspx:148 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'getDate' of undefined Any help would be greatly received. Many thanks.

Hello, I am trying to setup HAP+ at another school so they can make use of the room booking system. However, for some reason every time a member of staff logs in, it throws the "Unauthorised" error. I have tweaked the Booking System web.config as follows: Staff can login and get to the landing page, but when they go to click "Booking System" it then just shows the unauthorised page. If I log in as a user that's a member of Domain Admins, it works without any problems. I've also noticed that although I've restricted access to setup.aspx to Domain Admins, all users can still access this. Is there an IIS role that's missing? Many thanks in advance.

Hey guys, Just installed and configured HAP+ on our internal web server, works great and it is just what we need. At the moment, I have it running on https://InternalWebServerName/HAP, but I will want to configure it using our schools domain name, eg hap.schoolwebaddress.co.uk. The way i understand this, when I have it set up, people will have to navigate to https://hap.schoolwebaddress.co.uk/hap in order to reach it. Is there anything i can do in iis to allow that domain name to go straight to the HAP+ login page without having to put in "/hap" at the end of the domain? Any help will be much appreciated! Regards Harry

Please can anyone help me resolve this issue, that's just started happening when using HAP. Any help is appreciated.

Hello! I was wondering if it was possible to access my Home Access Plus from a GNU/Linux File explorer such as Nautilus, This would help me, because I need to access my files a lot and having to keep going on a web browser does not help with this. Also, I cannot download all my files at once to create a backup using the web client.

Howdy, I'm having some real issues installing Home Access Plus onto a newly created web server. I have followed the video instructions to the "t" but when i go to launch the setup.aspx i get a server error 500 "there is an error with the resource you are looking for and it can not be displayed". However, if i put a index.html file in the folder it will display properly. So somewhere I'm having issues getting the aspx files to display. Can someone point me in the right direction on this? Thanks!

Hello Everyone! We are still having problems with the MyFiles part of HAP. We are wanting to make this live ready for September and would like to use the MyFiles part as it looks quite good. However, the error that we are getting is this: Server Error in '/HAP' Application. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Thanks in advance. J.Worth.

Does anyone know why I would have no management tools (i.e. Booking System, Helpdesk etc.) for any user on our domain. I have logged in with two domain admin accounts (that were working yesterday) yet today they appear as standard users. EDIT: Appears to be an issue with 9.3 upgrade as when I copy the version 9.0 files back into the directory, I get the management options back, then copy the 9.3 files, management options disappear again.

Hey folks! I'm trying to setup Home Access Plus on a Win2k8R2 server, but I'm getting some odd behavior. I set up the site according to the documentation on the Codeplex site, but whenever I open the URL in the my browser, it seems to only be loading the specific page I'm on - no CSS, Javascript, etc. If I view source and click on one of the files it's trying to load, I get an error stating that "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred." I've not seen this one before, and Google's being of only limited help. Has anyone encountered this error before? Joey

Here is my list of bugs in v7.2 - I hope this makes more sense than having a list buried in an obscure other thread! Server: Windows 2008 R2 (IIS7) Client: Internet Explorer 9 / Google Chrome 13.0.782.220 HAP: Version 7.2 (including updated setup.aspx) 1 Active Directory Connection / TEST button has disappeared (ie9 + Chrome13) (is this by design?) 2 Changes are not saved to "Bookings / Show To" or "Tickets / Show To" - (Manually changing the XML works.) 3 Drive Mappings \ "Enable Move" check box setting not saved 4 Filters / click Images, attempt to add "*.psd; " at the start of "Expression" and click SAVE. GUI does not update. (though it is saved to config) 5 /hap/ [Logged in as user | Logout] overlaps the announcement bar at the top right 6 /helpdesk/ticket/ view [Logged in as user | Logout] slightly overlaps the ticket box at the top right 7 Config UI writes server shares as //servername/share rather than \\servername\share causing "given key was not present in disctionary" errror in browser 8 Creating a ticket with a user account that has no email address causes: I can't edit the post after a few hours due to Edugeek's settings - so i will have to update the thread as things progress. Cheers, Matt

Hello, Whenever I log onto Home acces + it tells me that either my password or username is wrong. I've forgotten my details and need to log on urgently. I can't reset my password as I'm not in school(I've tried to contact them but it was not possible. Can someone please come up with a solution, I've though of everything and I have no idea what my password is.

Hi We are currently looking at Remote Access Solutions for both Students and Staff (primarily staff, but students would be nice as well) Obviously we've looked at Rack Mount VPN Solutions for instance, but for the number of users inc Students, this would cost rather a lot. One other thing which recently caught my attention was the Home Access Plus system that is available (including seen on Edugeek) Home Access Plus+ My main query/concern with this though, is how secure is it? One other option which I saw yesterday, is we are currently looking to change our VLE, and we had a demo of FROG. FROG have an additional "add on" which allows Secure Remote Access to both files, and software on the Network, all securely. What are your thoughts? Which would you go for? Would appreciate feedback, and opinions. Are you an Home Access Plus school, how secure do you feel it is? Thanks Andrew
