p2v the old, run it as a VM on the new server and in place upgrade it to 2022. Job done.. works a charm… if you have extra time sure migrate to new VMs (remember standard can licence 2 standard VMs) inplace upgrading a DC is supported and does work.

We run MF centrally (not in cloud) then site servers per school, not sure if we will retain site server for primaries in long run as looking to centralise them too. Printing seems to be one of the bigger reasons on why going serverless is easier said than done.

If its a Esxi host thats part of a cluster, you’ll spend more time trying to get it working on SD Cards than starting again, id just throw a disk in and install ESXI on it and get it going. We had this with R630s and the chassis couldn’t support disks in a Raid Config so we just winged it on a single disk until we replaced the entire lot.

Anyone able to recommend a decent/cheap temp sensor that can alert using SNMP / Email? Been recommend Jacarta already and have looked at the Meraki sensors too.

We deploy teams in the Office 365 package, you can enable on your custom xml using config.office.com if you’d rather not reinstall office then deploying the machine wide install should work. Even with teams installed, still find lots of user using the web version and they don’t complain about it.

We have a central server at one secondary and a DP at another, all our other schools then PXE boot back to one of these depending on which one physically has less hops via our MPLS. Did also used to be local MDT but on the aim to centralise.

Used them for years, nothing bad to say about them. Would recommend.

Centrally hosted SCCM with Co-Management for our Trust. Still not happy enough with Intune/Autopilot for that to take on the role full blown. Networks are part of a MPLS, IP Helpers at each school.

Nearly 300 Meraki APs here and still migrating from unifi as per life cycles. Both brands get the job done, Meraki being much more feature/support/warranty rich though. We went with Meraki route as we also went that route for switching so its nice to have near a full stack of there tech, makes visibility of your environment much clearer, also let a-lot of our techs get involved with supporting infrastructure too.

What Gen DL380? I did four Gen10s over summer and its still fine here.

Lovely, anyone tried this does it still work? UniFi barely offer support anyway so does it matter lol? Our current controllers are still running fine as services without having to sign in or anything.

Hi Tom, Any timeline on this? What can we expect filtering for everything not just chromium? Currently doing testing now so curious if its something I need to add to my notes.
