Hello All, Has anyone had a CTC completed in a PFI school? one of our schools has recieved an email from the DfE stating we are entitled to it, but our understanding is we arent.

So I am assuming you want to use these two “guest” networks for web filtering? or just passing traffic to your sonicwall as its inline? If its transparent filtering, your dhcp will need to set the gateway as the smoothwall IP, the smoothwall Internal interface wont need a gateway as it will use your external interface to then go out. Have you configured the new interfaces under web proxies? Feel free to PM. We’ve had Smoothwall for years on end, currently support over 14 sw boxes so like to think i can help out.

If your PBX is in the same VLAN you dont need option66 in dhcp as it uses multicast btw. That’ll only work if you configure on each provisioned phone in 3cx the VLAN it should use other wise the phones will just sit in the untagged vlan. Ideally you want to be using LLDP here and have the switches tell the phones what VLAN to use but I dont know what options Mikrotik/Netgear switches have around that.

I ended up having to put the monitor/intercoms all on a singular switch, only way it would work on meraki without disabling IGMP snooping. Is what it is.

I ended up doing tagged vlan1 bewteen switch and smoothwall and blackholing the native vlan switch side, seems to be working ok now on 33.

Could you PM me what you mean here please? I got a feeling I am suffering this issue right now. single port, two vlans untagged (vlan1) and tagged vlan 10. seems to be working but the firewall rules dont seem to apply when specifying "All internal networks" or the VLAN interface "VLAN1" Thank you

Value Great Reliability Great Warranty/Support Even Better We do a per UPS Mgmt, not sure if they have somthing to do them all in one view tbh, we use a network monitoring tool to monitor them all.

Would just be ideal if you could turn ipv4 on it all for the “advancer” installs though saying that hurts my head.

ipv6 doesnt make it any simplier? they’d be better off on ipv4. Thats not really the problem though its how you using multicast I am assuming rather than configuring the monitors with IPs of the Intercoms its broadcasting looking for “everything” I am assuming our IGMP snooping is preventing this properly working. Which is a valid feature to have enabled. We’ll be trying a IGMP querier during the upcoming half term break, hopefully that helps. Firewall is all good - not the problem here. Firmwares are all uptodate.

So got it mostly working, seems it just runs independentlyof the server. Curious how the monitors are only ipv6 though no way to enable ipv4? Only outstanding issue is the live video viewing doesnt work, does via a intercom call though.. strange.. based online fourms wondering if its somthing to do with IGMP snooping. Shame it isnt just plug and play in “enteprise” setups too.. wish it had the same config ability as Net2

Doesnt happen to be a TCP 3 way handshake issue does it? Ran into that recently, dont create the WAN interface with the wizard, configuring manually fixes it lol.

What model is the UPS usually it has specifc requirements in there doc? I would suspect if its big and requires hard wiring you need atleast a 4mm cable on a 32a circuit. You can wire this cable into a comando socket if you have them available.

Anyone figured out how to disable "Text Predictions" in latest office 2510? I have found the registry to turn it off by default "Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\word\options\EnableInlineTextPrediction" but obviously kids can do into options using this button and reenable it.

For such a long time now, probably since we moved to bromcom we have experienced such an unreliable experience with Bromcom Windows Notifications. We are an Edge shop only, we do block all notifications apart from X which does include (https://cloudmis.bromcom.com/) we do not allow push.getbeamer.com. For some people it works, from some it doesn't and that will frequently change between them there's no pattern or consistency to it at all. They have no desire to use the email method, I'm lost as to finding the issue. Clear Cache doesn't work either. I can happily use HTML5 Web Notifications Test - Bennish.net all day and it works fine everytime. Bromcom support contacted many times, no resolution.
