I know SpiderOak does this (just to chuck another service in the ring) but I believe all their servers are in the US.

I'm aware of CiviCRM which is OS, but i've never used it (yet).

Don't forget about Media/Press matters if people find out you are secretly recording phone conversions (even if it is legal). As a matter you should probably refer the matter over to your schools legal team to make sure they support such a setup before you proceed implemting it.

I can MYOB, Facebook and take phonecalls all at once, Nothing wrong with a bit of multitasking.

I know this isn't technically a Education question (runs and hides), But some of you may have experienced this for Uniform Shops/Tuckshops etc so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. The charity that I'm heavily involved in had to move recently (and start paying rent) so subsequently we have had to set up a more formal shop type arrangement. Out old Fish'n'Chip style register broke so we were generously donated a second hand touchscreen pos system. Does anyone have recommendations on appropriate POS software, Ideally I've been looking for something that is simpler for the older ladies to use, But has some more advanced features not to let the system go to waste?

So developers have direct access to a live server is your issue?

Do you use exchange for your email? The newer OWA supports this afaik.

The email came from within the school!

We have no server at work =( Well have I gotten 2008r2 standard off donortec, I just need to get the time to install it onto a spare pc.

Make sure you still provide a link to the plain PDF go down that route... I hate those "fancy" things and generally cause me just to close things compared to attempting to read them...

LightScreen can do it (portable version also available).

Why is your head logging in locally on the computer? Why does it appear there isn't a DHCP server on the network? passwords.xls… NICE!

I hear the Hozuki Lantern is nice for camping and such for using in your tent and the likes. I believe it's also good for lighting up tables and the likes.

I know our state wide edu department uses SyncToy compared to offline files (on both xp, seven lappys)

I would put a box inbetween your network and the wider network running something like Squid or the likes. Why only a local account and not a domain account? What user rights does the local account have?

Doing it from scratch is nice, That way everything is fresh and no possible hidden gotchas waiting to pounce. You could use ADMT to transfer profiles (no idea if it handles computers in AD) but again nice to go with everything fresh if possible, and its not that hard to move home drives in/for AD. Students will most likely (hopefully) using some type of restricted/mandatory profile so just recreating it won't be too hard. Getting staff to accept new profiles might be a harder subject (which transferring might be of some use) because some might be using their desktops as document storing areas (although if they are redirected already that isn't much of a problem).

That isn't you, that is DS... I had the same thing happen to me. Must have been confusing to the person when I drew a face and beard when the word wasn't related to it.

Take a guess (This wasn't by a Edugeeker)

p858snake… (fair warning... I'm no artist)

As tehscarfedone has pointed out his blog, But also if your a twitter person, You can always reach out to auteched and they might have a few pointers about it as well.

Can the AP not be installed somewhere else?

Are the timetables unique? or just "This is when all the different tests are on, turn up to yours"? How electronic do they want? How are they produced at the moment? Could you just pdf that method and mail merge it to them?

Disabling right click doesn't effect it in most apps... I don't remember using it in IE was a issue (IE6 at least)... Even if yo9u hide that, they can still use the keyboard shortcuts =(

It was lupus wasn't it‽

One does not enquire what or whom is in the blue box.
