BBC Video Clips not working
imunro01 replied to victory2012's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I'm having exactly the same issue with Smoothwall Advanced Firewall, however my apprentice tells me the clips work in Chrom if you run as administrator -
Is this by any chance because of a problem with delays/lag when writing and erasing? - - - Updated - - - Is this by any chance because of a problem with delays/lag when writing and erasing?

[for sale] Promethean and Smart boards up for grabs
imunro01 replied to imunro01's topic in Classified Adverts
Any interest in these? -
We have a number of Promethean (PRM-AB1-01) IWB's going spare, along with a few Smartboard (SB580's). These are without cables and pens, however these can be sources reasonably from your normal IT suppliers. They are for collection from South Northumberland, and I'm open to reasonable offers for them If you are interested, please give me a shout on either 01670 844 931 or [email protected]

Have a look at StartSSL.com - they do free certificates, but can't remember off the top of my head if they're wildcard certs

We'v had an ongoing problem with deploying printers to Windwos 7 workstations. We are currently using a mix of cscript prnmngr deployment and rundll32 printui.dll deployment, both by login script (this is in addition to GPO deployment at computer level) We're having intermittent issues with the printer not appearing on PCs - when this manifests, we get a lot of SRV event 2022 errors in the server system event log. I increased the min free connections to 4 and the maxfreeconnections to 8 but this hasn't resolved the issue. (I've now increased these to 32/100 - the max to see if that helps) Whilst I was working on all this I also increased the TCP/IP MaxUserPort setting to 65534 I'm now at my wits end what to try next - can anyone give me any indications of anything I may have missed?

I'm trying top find a way of preventing Publisher 2010 from prompting to open external data from a network drive that has been embedded in the publisher file. I've already got excel trusted locations set (as it is an excel chart embedded), but can't seem to prevent the popup appearing. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers!

I have a small number of machines that seem to take a really long time to boot up. They all stick for up to ten minutes on "Applying Group POlicy Power Options Policy" These machines are in the same AD location and get the same GPOs applied as may other machines in school, so I'm struggling to see why this is. Can anyone offer any insights?

I'm setup as a user in Office 365, and have my Outlook configured fro that succesfully. I've been delegated permission to "Send As" for a disctribution group, but can't seem to work out how to actually send an email from that address. Can any Outlook / Office 365 gurus point me in the right direction please

I'm trying to find a way to configure Windows 7 to force MHT files to open in Google Chrome. I've tried setting a file association in GPP and also tried to set it in Filexts under the explorer section of HKCU however it seems that Windows does not like the association changed on this. Obviously I need this to apply to all users, so changing it on a per user basis is not an option This is getting a little desperate now, so any help would be appreciated
