  1. Dont know about Benq but we've replaced all our IWB with Prowise touch screens and they are great.
  2. Thanks for that. I was hoping there may be a script I could run just after installing Win10 from a fresh install.
  3. I'm going to admit I havn't read every page, but is there something here I can run once and then its done. Or do these scripts need running for every new user logon?

    Riso Printers

We have Riso 5000's and 5230 printeers and theyve been good. Service and any issues have been next day. Not had any problems.
  5. Yep exactly. It worked but terribly and didnt run half the games. I'd love a mini Dreacast to play CrazyTaxi though. Loved that game.
  6. I've setup a network for a small business (Only twelve employees) and one of them commutes a lot. She is most likely the only person who is going to need to access her files whilst away from the office. Files are sitting on a file server and mapped drives. What would people suggest as the best way to enable the staff to access her files remotely? Many thanks.
  7. A mini dreamcast would be amazing. There have been reportds of getting an emulated version on the Pi but it doesnt run great.
  8. Thankyou, that is interesting. My new server comes with two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 2.1G, 8C/16T, 9.6GT/s , 11M Cache, Turbo. I'm a bit lost with all this multiple cores stuff. The host machine will run HyperV virtual servers, one being the domain controller and the other being a Sims server which will run two databases (two separate Sims systems). Thaknyou everyone for your help.
  9. Thankyou for your replies. How many cores do you allocate? I'm currently running 4 cores for Sims and the same for DC.
  10. Im redoing our Sims server at the moment and going to be having two Sims instances so two lots of databases too on the same server. Not too sure how much to allocate it.
  11. We've been running 12GB for domain controller and 4GB for our Sims servers. What does everyone else have? And how much do you keep for your physical host? Thanks.
  12. Many thanks for your replies. It was hard enough getting them to let me purchase a new server so will eventually overtime replace all our old switches.
  13. So just bought a new server and got it in the office to setup a testnetwork. I connect it to a small mini switch and have noticed it will only pickup a valid IP if on a gigabit switch. We have a lot of old 10/100 switches still. I assume this is because of the gigabit/10 gigabit card requires a minimum 1gb speed to function? Will this cause me issues when I then connect to the full network.
  14. They will either have already moved on or yo'ul be getting tonnes of Emails asking for all their back catalogue of VHS tapes to be converted and uploaded on to the network.
  15. I won't be doing our Sims updates until after Easter. Will schedule it for in the night. Going to start setting up one of our new servers over Easter.
  16. Thankyou for your reply. I'm being swayed to the Edgerouter too.Cheaper and has more or less the same software running on it. And you get more ports.
  17. So Im about to purchase one of these... Which would you go for? - Ubiquiti Networks Security Gateway that has two lan ports. - UBIQUITI Networks EdgeRouter 5 Ports Im wondering which one would be best. Thankyou.
  18. How did you access the controller in the end?
  19. Really upset as that laptop doesnt seem to have a scart socket. For that reason I will be buying a typewriter instead.
  20. We ended up buying all our students cheap small earphones. Less than £2 each. They get to keep them but it's their responsibility to look after them. This seems to have worked for us so far. Too many were coming back broken when we had bigger ones and they would always end up completely tangled up.
  21. We have a similar system that I've inherited which is old but does work. There should be a web interface. Might be worth scanning to see if you can see the controller on the network. Ive tried accessing mine and cant get in so next step will be connecting it up and accessing via Putty.
  22. The Icelandic airline Wow Air has ceased all operations. All flights cancelled. Yet another carrier to vanish from the skies just like BMI, Monarch, etc. https://wowair.com/travel-alert/
