Weve got EntrySign Back Office Suite installed and it is configured and opens fine for me but for some reason it won't open for one of our office staff users. I've tried it with another office staff machine and it works fine so wondering what I've missed. User has admin rights on the machine. It just opens the program but refuses to connect to the EntrySign system, eventually timing out. Anyone have any ideas. Thankyou.

Just trying to get my head around Parentmail and wondering which fields in Sims it pulls the data from for mobile numbers. Where do you set the mobile number and how do you specify the person it goes to? And what about if there is joint parental responsability and both parents need alerting? Anyone help me make sense of this. many thanks in advance.

I'm moving into a new house and the phone point is in the lounge. I'l have my router there but want to get Ethernet to the other side of the house. We are talking about 30 metres max. Has anyone got any experience of the impact of bends in the cable. The biggest bend would probably be a few 90 degrees around corners. Thankyou.

Anyone have any idea what causes the problem below... Did some updates on Windows Server 2016 and went to turn on my HyperV VM's. They wouldnt boot giving an out of memory error. Rebooting the host didnt help either. The only way I got round this was decreasing the memory allocation and then it booted. Any ideas? Thanks.

We are trying to ditch the network drives. The problem you get is when staff share files or folders but dont set the correct permissions so then a person that it is shared with will make changes or delete something. - - - Updated - - - CubeBackup looks great and reasonably priced too. Im thinking of trying this out. Thanks.

Staff use Google Drive for files and more and more is being done on this instead of network fileshares. Obviously I want files backed up. What do people use to backup their Google Drives? many thanks.

Sounds like BS to me. I even saw a scam like this on TV once where they poured a bit of cola on there to say it was coroded.

Have you worked out the costs for hosted Sims - Our worked out to crazy amounts? Cant you just setup a new server with Win2016/19?

Hello all, After a school trip ran late the other day it has become clear that we need a way to notify parents directly via text message. We currently use ParentPay for dinners, clubs and money handling and I'm aware we can use that but just wondered what systems everyone uses and what is actually best value for money? We have some staff who are leaving and they often start deleting files. I'd like to backup their drives.

We are more careful with our data and policies now but teachers are still the biggest problem holding us back.

Sounds like the mac server may be being just used for updates then and the iMacs have just been joined to the Windows Domain. You can check this by logging on to a mac as an adimnistrator, system preferences (which is the mac version of Control panel), select Users and Groups, and then Login Options. See if it is attached to your network there.

Luckily more and more exams are web based and we warn our students that if they do divert from the test it will cause a test violation and waste their time. The software picks up things like this. With other exams its hit and miss, we used to use impero to control everything but then there would always be a few machines which wouldnt be happy. Oh and then there would be the teachers that would tell you they have an exam in the IT suite and need this software installing the night before.

Just one less VM to have to update and keep track of really.

Not sure I've understood entirely but I'm intending on putting both my Infants and Juniors Sims systems which currently reside on seperate VM's onto the one VM. Users (regardless of if they are on the infants or juniors school) will be able to choose which Sims to load up.

Local profiles. I've always had problems with Roaming and do without.
