I've currently got the servers backing up using Windows Server Backup each night and until now havent tried restoring. Got a bit of free time and thought I'd test it out and check it all works. Is it quick to restore from this?

Thanks. I'd like to keep using the built in tools if possible.

Hi everyone, What is the best way to quickly backup and restore a virtual server in HyperV? Is it better to do a Windows Server Backup or use HyperV and do a server Export and Import? Thankyou.

Thanks. It turned out I couldnt access the web interface. Took it home and had a play around with it. Found the IP with IP Scanner and then got to the login page. Turned out the last tech had never changed the default login. Let me in easily which then was a matter or reconfiguring the correct network IP settings.

Yes we have two databases.

I set an option to display “warning! unwithorized access is prohibited! gpo” before allowing users to enter login details. So just after they do Ctrl alt delete. It’s now doing my head in and I can’t remember where this was set. Anyone able to help. Thankyou.

I can’t get Sims to write to connect.ini. Anyone know why this could be? I’be just set up new GPO settings and first time running sims and wondering why users can’t write to C: drive. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks.

Staff_policies. When computers were just in computers section they got this policy. Do I need to go to the new HA_computers and link the policy to there too?

I think I tried that. So the computers were just in the default computers section in AD and got the policies. See photo. I then created HA_Computers and moved them all in there. That’s when the policies stopped being applied.

So I created a GPO with various user and computer policies and some of it was to remove various parts of windows start menu Edge app, etc. Only thing I’ve done since is move my computers from the computers location in AD to a new location named School-Computers. Now I’m guessing my computer policies are now not being applied for some reason. The policy is set for all authenticated users and domain users. Anyone know where I’m going wrong? Thankyou.

I’ve just changed my network over and have a new IP range and settings. All my wired devices are working fine but anything connected to a wireless access point connects to the AP but doesn’t get any Internet. Now I’m guessing this controller mc1550 is pretty old but I need to somehow reconfigure it. Anyone know how? Many thanks in advance.

You will know for a few reasons: 1. You may see a flash from the camera itself. 2. But most importantly you'll get a letter within 14 days saying you were caught with your vehicle details, speed, etc. I got that letter yesterday. It does seem like it will be £100. Blooming expensive still! I was 1mph over being offered a Speed awerness course from what I can see online.

I'm finding contradicting information about what fine and points I will get. Anyone know what it will be? I was doing 43 in a 30 zone.... Some sites say I'l get 3 points and £100 fine. Cant do Speed aware course as its over the set speed. Some other sites say I'l be in band "B" and charged 75-125% of one weeks salary and 4-6 points. There are lots of sites saying the salary fine but the gov one says fixed £100 Any ideas? cheers.

I thought I’d update in case it helps others. I’d set an encryption key and hadn’t updated it in the live view parameters encryption key settings. I’d only set it in the network settings. All sorted now. Thanks all.

We use VNC Viewer for visually impaired students. They mirror the Teachers machine on the iPad, making sure view only, not controllable.
