  2. We use EntrySign
  3. No intention of anything bad intended. I'm really into aircraft and just go on abit.
  4. It would have to have been an RAF jet, Concorde or other aircraft that can achieve supersonic speeds of mach 1 or above. Anything else wouldnt be able to achieve speeds fast enough.
  5. I've found Recuva pretty good. Made by the same people as CCleaner.
  6. I'm needing one or two small factor PC's, about 4-8gb ram, hard drive size not important, don't need OS, basically something to keep staff happy and run day to day apps like Office. What would you reccommend? Many thanks.

    Old iPad useage.

Our old ipads just get used for Internet browsing.
  8. We use Mosyle. Very good system.
  9. Thanks everyone. The router is next to where the phoneline comes in and frankly that room is in a terrible state. It gets hot, dusty, etc. I have a server cabinet in a secure office so thats why I plan to place the server there instead. The server will be linked by two switches connected in places by fibre.
  10. Can anyone see any issues with where I’m going to place my domain controller. Currently it is next to the router and switch. I want to plug it in on the other side of the building several switches along the line. Can anyone see any issues with this or is this alright. Thankyou.
  11. I wanted to do this and each school has its own DFE number and Sims doesnt like this. I was told I would need one sims system per school.
  12. Doing my upgrade over Christmas.
  13. Its great until you have to pay for it. Got some webspace? We use Booked Scheduler which is free if you host yourself. https://www.bookedscheduler.com/

  15. Thankyou. I know cloud controllers are useful to some but frankly with the Meraki CLoud setup we currently have I hardly ever use it. I think the Unifi route looks promising.
  16. Would something like this be good? https://www.4gon.co.uk/ubiquiti-unifi-ac-pro-indoor-outdoor-access-point-5-pack-p-6641.html We curently have 5 access points accross the Infants school and it works well so wouldnt need more.
  17. I currently have a selection of Meru wifi access points on one of my schools and a Cisco Meraki setup on the other school. THe Meraki stuff is costing us a lot in licensing and I'd rather have something like the Meru kit that is a one off payment. I'm going to be merging the two schools after Christmas so theyll all be on the same network. Can anyone recommend some access points which could replace the Cisco Meraki gear and that could potentially work alongside the Meru access points. Thankyou.
  18. Always been a fan of Synology. Good interface and easily mapped drives. Works well. The one bay ones are cheap and can backup to a USB drive too. I have the DS118. Great little box.
  19. Just because thats the current environment this server is built around on the physical machine. I'm creating a new network after Christmas.
  20. My Windows 2008 Sims server has broken, yet works. Some failed raid drives and Windows messup. I can use Sims but Windows is not allowing shares or services to work properly. So this works but not well. I can access the sims server and simsroot directory and have backups of the sql database. I’d quite like to create a new Win 2008 VM and install Sims. Can I do it and have both incase it messes up? So keep the original and port everything to new server and once happy then decommission the dodgy sims server? Or do I have to Un-attach the database and backup all passwords and everything? I’ve not done this with sims so would appreciate your views and how to proceed. Thankyou.
  21. Yeah drive has enough space. Looking at it I can see that the shares that have come up are on another machine. Any that are on the Sims server including simserver and our sdn share hasnt come up. A lot of server and sharing services are not starting on the sims server which I think is where the issue is. But how I get these to restart without errors Im stumped at the moment.
  22. Network crashed this morning and got things back up. My Sims drive is a virtual drive in HyperV. Users can access Sims but running very slow and I cant map the Sims H: drive on any machine. I can however ping the Sims servers IP address and remote into the server. When I login it is telling me it Failed to connect to Windows Services which I'm assuming is killing off a lot of services. "Failed to connect to the user profile service" A quick look in services shows me plenty of automatic services that arent able to run. Possibly killing the Shared Sims folder? Other shared folders like our public drive are u though. Somethings messed up somewhere. Anyone help on this Friday thats turning into hell for me right now. Thankyou.
  23. I don't care what they say about it being "safe". I'm not going anywhere near that.
  24. The last time I researched this with Sims and going Hosted Sims it was going to cost mega money.
  25. This looks great. I wonder what super specs youll need for smooth gameplay though.
