I don't see why anyone would collect compatible / remanufactured toners unless it was in order to get a load of actually good stuff at the same time , it's pure e-waste

Preview version of Exchange online message trace can do instant results for small blocks up to 90 days now, saves waiting hours or sometimes days for a trace report to finish. Extended Query Range: You can now query up to 90 days of historical data for near real-time queries. However, please note that you can only query 10 days’ worth of data at a time.

Think it looks like Sh-12 as well, staples we have are SH-10 (same as SK-602) and MS10A which have the paper/card tab you pull to release

We have the dictation feature working with read&write , it uses the microsoft/bing services afaik. You have to open up the websockets and their list https://support.texthelp.com/help/urls-for-whitelisting-texthelp-products#read-write-for-windows-and-mac The most problems we have is with the reader which stops working constantly and sounds terrible. Why they can't improve that if they are outsourcing the dictation and having a live internet connection is beyond me.

SEND personal music/mp3 player during exams
robintech replied to robintech's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
Thanks will add some white noise type stuff in as well -
Apparently this is now allowed https://feweek.co.uk/send-students-now-allowed-to-listen-to-music-during-exams/ so was thinking of the cheapest most basic MP3 player, wondering what others are doing as well? Think we have to select the music so how does copyright work, maybe royalty free or they provide a CD?

Transferring email accounts
robintech replied to APMerry's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
I'll admit we still do that but trying to avoid it. SharePoint groups are so much easier now when the old owner has been using it properly, new owner has all the files, emails (and email aliases), things like Microsoft Forms, automated flows, calendars, external services that sync using that group add them to SSO so they can sign into it. -
A car vs money scenario... Please help me make up my mind!
robintech replied to AB_IT's topic in General Chat
the bottom end of the market seems very overpriced to me , new cars as well, second hand 5 years old seem okish value although out of my budget so I'm stuck in a similar position. Was almost thinking about leasing for a couple of years as some 24 month contracts are around £2,500 per annum which somehow seems ok for 2 years motoring as its the same as depreciation on a new car but without the buying and selling hassle? -

Odd that it resolved itself for all our users today if it is an end user or site problem as they claim -

robintech replied to robintech's topic in Office Software

Got the latest Monthly version of classic Outlook/Office , when right clicking and searching it says the feature has been deprecated, does anyone else get this We are sorry, but this feature is deprecated. Open Office.com Search on Bing Have tried on an Off Domain computer with fresh default Windows 10 install connecting through a hotspot so not firewall or local GPO Did install Office as a test member of the organisation and signed in as them so maybe some office admin settings are causing it

I can see its a weakness as any device on that network bypasses MFA if that's all we have but what methods are there to spoof a public IP address?
-
That is one massive MDM setup https://www.cgi.com/uk/en-gb/managed-it-services/digital-workplace-apple-devices wonder if its the google images thumbnail issue or secure DNS or something, it seems they are filtered in school by the firewall but at home maybe safe search enforced or DNS blocking https://digitaleducationteam.com/for-parents-carers/#Can_my_child_access_the_internet

if it works on their phone then a USB Wi-Fi adaptor solves most of these older laptop problems for about £6
