  1. Remember something weird about if they're viewing in IE mode in Edge then it moves the download location to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Virtualized\C\Users\%username%\ if you have not added it to trusted sites. The Configuration Tab in the Hikvision should also have a download location in case its that
  2. For a black and white laser printer I can recommend the HP LaserJet M402dn , aftermarket cartridges are about £20 each. Have two in operation and never touched them apart from replacing toner. Ideally will get rid of all desktop printers so we're doing no replacements for dead desktop printers.
  3. First day of term so haven't got round to replying, will give you a bump in case someone can help
  4. Not an expert so would check with a licensing partner but yes you can do shared device on OVS-ES Office 365 A3 depending on your setup they will be signed in automatically and its barely noticeable when we had it https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/overview-shared-computer-activation#how-shared-computer-activation-works-for-microsoft-365-appsI'd try and move to Microsoft 365 A3 for faculty as I feel Office 365 and then adding on extras isn't worth it anymore and is becoming outdated with Intune. A1 is free so you can spam accounts for one offs
  5. Thanks hopefully they can add some of those features in the future, we're going to trial it shortly.Think I should be able to backup a RockyLinux VM and only lose file level recovery which isn't needed for it.https://support.redstor.com/hc/en-gb/articles/5927131286813-1397-How-to-backup-and-recover-Hyper-V-virtual-machines
  6. You could allocate student licences to the non FTE and it would work but would break your licencing agreement, they'd gain desktop apps which few people really need. The online ones work fine
  7. I'm not an expert but will have a go anyway Sounds right for the standard pricing , £5.60 per FTE for Microsoft 365 A3 for faculty and student licences are given as a ratio for free some parts 40 per FTE ####################This will give your FTE and Students all the Office Desktop apps, Intune, P1 for MFA and trusted locations and can install desktop Office on 5 or maybe 10 personal devices as it might be increasing.################With Office installed as a shared device on the school computers those FTE will be prompted to sign in if they have not got a local profile or they haven't used that computer for about 30 days, then it remembers them, these activations don't count so it doesn't matter who signs in as long as they have a licence, students or staff will be ok doesn't use up their personal device allowance##########################Your other staff can have the Free A1 which is no desktop apps but all the email and 100GB storage now down from 1TB, you can add P1 to it for £0.56 per month so they get MFA###########################You also get Intune for Education which is a simplified front end and normal Intune in the licence along with Entra so you could go full cloud for AD#################https://www.rm.com/blog/2024/january/m365-education-storage-and-licence-changes-in-2024######################Sorry can't seem to add carriage returns so all one lump of text
  8. Microsoft are partly to blame by disabling Reply for Group Emails and only allowing Reply All.
  9. Has anyone moved to Redstor and how did you find it, looking at 365 and VM
  10. Has it got Realtime selected at the top left (which should change to Pause) , timeframe might be before you starting setting it up
  11. They don't even supply replacement nibs for the pens so doubt the cameras are available to buy yourself. I think you'd be best replacing it , they don't seem too expensive around £1,045 on the first result that came up https://interactive-tech.co.uk/product/75-smart-spnl-6075-professional-interactive-touch-display-panel-4k-hdmi or half that on ebay for used ones
  12. @synaesthesia it does read a bit like they expect the ability to change the speed to be present but that candidates are not allowed to use it in contrast to internet access for example
  13. Didn't know about that, have found some examples of the rules
  14. If its cheap enough I'd like a long battery life laptop , do worry about some processor flaw like the Apple GoFetch or something that makes the early ones vulnerable and unfixable.
  15. Sorry should be sydney.bing.com For the WebSockets its usually HTTPS interception, in Guardian/Categories created Category and called it WebSockets and added URLs to it, then Guardian/HTTPS inspection/Policy Wizard create a new one with Websockets as the "What". Guardian/HTTPS inspection/Manage Polices, drag and drop it to the top then save and wait about 60 seconds
  16. sounds like the cable, does it do the same on HDMI/VGA output
  17. don't know why it would be different if you are testing both work and personal on the same network but I got that message before allowing WebSockets for syndey.bing.com You should be able to see it in F12 developer mode in the browser console
  18. if it works as a local account will narrow it down a bit
  19. C15 /C16 took me ages to work out why none of the kettle leads would fit into a Switch
  20. Got this update, it started working for us when we disabled https interception for it
  21. Couldn't see where it was being applied but Staff were in restricted mode for YouTube , don't think it was happening before Leeds 70 https://kb.smoothwall.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002031950-Smoothwall-Filter-s-Content-Modification-Function#:~:text=Enforce%20YouTube%20restricted%20mode%20on,not%20use%20GSuite%20for%20Education. Put in a content modification rule at the top to "ignore" for Staff and works ok
  22. might be the nudge campaign is enabled and they have snoozed three times , closing the browser window counts as snoozing https://entra.microsoft.com/#view/Microsoft_AAD_IAM/AuthenticationMethodsMenuBlade/~/RegistrationCampaign/fromNav/
  23. From what I understand its not all schools and may involve Smoothwall in some way but nothing for certain yet. The box to enter the student name is missing for us
  24. Thanks will give them a call, can't reset my password either to test it
  25. Getting "The page you are looking for doesn't exist" and other odd errors
