Hi Sonic007, At BenQ we have 2 ranges RE & RP series, available in 65", 75", 86" and the RE in 98", both with Android built in (though you can hide this), both featuring FOC cloud management services and a 5 year warranty (upon registration). Both types of screen have an OPS slot, which is a Universal slot for OPS PCs. We do sell our own, but because they are universal you can source them from anywhere at any spec; this also means that when time comes for the PC to be upgraded if the panel is still functioning well, you can just replace the slot in PC. If you'd like to know more, just let me know.

Afternoon John, Chris from BenQ here. Can you drop me a DM with the model number and firmware version. I believe I know the issue and it can be rectified by updating the firmware - I picked up on the issue a few months back.

Gongalong, Just to add that our whiteboard software (EZWrite 6) that comes with all of our new (RX03 and newer) boards is free with no subscription and will open .notebook files and .iwb files.

Gonalong, On the RM03 & RP03 screens it is a switch in the standard menu settings. On the RE03, it is still a switch on the screen but is accessible from a hidden menu. In all cases, it is advisable to ensure the firmware is up to date, either by using the OTA method through the screens settings, DMS (free cloud based device management) or by contacting customer services who can provide the correct version for the screen. Handy that your laptops remember the setting, a lot do not, which can cause issues. If you have any other questions let me know.

Hi, Chris from BenQ here, my understanding is the culprit of this 4K/60 issue lies at the feet of the HDMI port of the source device. Now that almost all panels in the market are native 4K/60 with HDMI 2.0 or greater ports they operate on EDID 2.0 and will tell the GPU that it can handle 4K/60. The GPUs are actually capable of 4K/60, but the HDMI port on the laptop is not and then you get image drop out. On the BenQ panels (model dependent) we have a switch to force EDID 1.4 which caps the maximum requested signal to 4K/30, meaning that the source laptop doesn't ever send a 4K/60 signal. If the panel you have is not a BenQ or is panel that does support EDID switching you still have a few options: - switch to using VGA (not ideal and a lot of manual work) - Manually change the laptop to output 4K/30 (not ideal as you will have to do this every time you connect the cable) - Purchase an EDID emulator and set this to EDID 1.4 (long term fix but potentially costly to implement for every panel) I hope the above is useful to you, if you have any follow up questions, let me know and I'll help if I can.

Alan, I'm afraid that the RP703/RP704 models only support DMS Local, it wasn't until the next generation that DMS Cloud was supported. We have just released DMS 3.0 which available on RE01, RE03, RM02K, RM03, RP03 & newer models.

Martin, Were you able to try using the one higher powered USB port (5v / 1.4a) at the rear? The other USB ports on the RE03 are lower powered (5v / 0.9a).

We also offer a host of complimentary benefits that you may find useful: DMS - Device Management System (this has recently had a big upgrade at no cost) - LINK AMS - Account Management Service - LINK Broadcast - Messaging service - LINK Now all these cloud services do require internet connectivity, all the panels come with built in LAN ports or alternatively there is a wireless dongle that is available as an optional accessory for the RE03, RM03 screens; however it is included as standard with the RP03 screens. On our latest screens there is also EZWrite 6, a huge step forward from us with the built in whiteboard software. Hi, Just wanted to drop a note to clear up any confusion regarding dongles. We offer three ranges of interactive flat panels. RE (Essential) - standard IR remote control, no wireless dongle RM (Master) - superior IR remote control including pre-paired Bluetooth dongle so the remote can act as a laser pointer RP (Pro) - same remote as RM series and unit includes wireless dongle All the panels come with an RJ45 LAN socket, some 3rd party wireless dongles may work, however we cannot guarantee compatibility, performance or support when these are used. Our dongles also enable you to set up a hotspot which is a useful way to ringfence casting to a room or area. Also to add the casting functionality in all 3 ranges (Instashare 2) doesn't "need" the wireless card, if you have a flat network the panel can be hardwired and devices connect to the wireless (basic architecture similar to home network). We also have a networking whitelisting document available, quite often ports, sites or features have to be enabled on the firewall, router or WAP in order to get the best performance for casting. For example Aruba WAP often block/filter by default mDNS; which can have a huge impact on performance. There are several reasons that installation instructions are not included in the box, there is the environmental impact of printing them, the vast majority just get thrown away, we also make changes and it's easier to then make these available on the website to download. That said there is normally a quick start guide included. As for the 2 large screws, are they long and thin? If so they are the locking screws, they go straight the mounting arms once installed (you may need a long screw driver), they prevent the screen from being removed from the mount. Whilst TVs are often cheaper than interactive panels, the warranty doesn't always cover commercial/education settings, they are often return to base warranties and the screen itself will not withstand any impact. All of our interactive panels (65"+) come with a 5 year warranty (de/re-install), are covered for commercial/education use and the glass is tempered glass with anti-glare (the RP series also has a germ resistant coating). Hi, the compatibility with your existing mounts will depend on whether they are universal mounts or they were bespoke for the Casio projectors. We have a range of cost effective projectors. Hi, I can only officially speak for BenQ, however @PotNoodleTech is correct; in principle it would work on any interactive device that utilise standard Windows HID drivers. The issue is one of licensing. Promethean (as with SMART) do have their own drivers that enable things like auto pen recognition and some gesture controls, these are unlikely to work when using standard Windows HID drivers and may not work on 3rd party hardware. If using Instashare from iOS, when using the YouTube app, it should offload YouTube to the screen. If you drop me a DM with your email I'll send over the latest whitelisting document which has all relevant ports/sites that are required to be opened. One other thing to add Miracast in Instashare is a manual broadcast and devices need to be on same network (Microsoft dongle I know works across different networks. We had an issue recently with Aruba WAP which had a secondary filter (in addition to the firewall), there was an advanced network setting that was filtering broadcast packets (mDNS).
