  1. Nice find, added to my bookmarks.
  2. If I was out as much as I used to be I would purchase a Panasonic or even a similar Sony to what I had, alot of it is what you get used to, best to go down the local camera shop try them out and find what is best for what you want.
  3. Just seen this post on LinkedIn, not seen anything on here so thought I would share. Original LinkedIn post here.
  4. So far so good, thanks for the quick replies to this earlier.
  5. Thanks for the quick replies, I can work with them I think, now do so some testing out there and see the results!
  6. Mavhc that doesn't seem to work, even changing the name to say Virgin Media as mine is displayed. Chaplic that works, just need to output to a file but name is the same as output before any spaces i.e. my ISP is Virgin Media want it to save as virgin.txt or plusnet.txt if you get me.
  7. I am looking to create a powershell script (open to other methods if better), I will admit my scripting skills are rubbish. If I use Invoke-WebRequest command and point it to http://ip-api.com/json/ it gives various information. What I want to do is export the ISP and create a system variable with that so we can then run another script if ISP = xyz then deploy file to devices at home or if ISP = xyz create a text file c:\ispistrue.txt for example. I was initially looking to dump IP then look that up which is a bigger task so if I can get the ISP that would help. Any assistance would be welcome, thanks.
  8. I have a SLR not that it gets much use these days but if I was to buy a compact it would be a Panasonic, was only looking at them in the camera shop yesterday when I went out.
  9. I personally would go with a MFD but Fujitsu do some devices that fit the bill. Sharp MFD's allow you go populate an address book or failing that you could look at a document management scanning app which is hosted on a server and the MFD can interface to, you would either way need to populate the locations in place, if you have 10 locations you can put them in the address book then name from there.
  10. Have you got the Ricoh device in question to connect via HTTPS rather than HTTP? Does it need a certificate on the actual copier? Has the IP address of the copier changed also? I've never used Ricoh but on Sharp you enter the application URL in the web interface, is that the same in Ricoh, are there duplicate copies of the device, have you deleted and readded back on the device?
  11. I've used various ones with next to no issues, only recommendation if rolling multiple ones out, create the SSID and password the same if needed then you can deploy 1 setting to the device, protect with a password then they cannot change and use your data up if that makes sense.
  12. Might be a worth a look at this one or others here. Might be able to get better prices if bulk buying. I've used my Huawei one from EE for years with no issues, odd time it doesn't connect but think its down to been battered around the car but when I was working in the field I used mine 60% of the week rather than tethering and killing my mobile. Never had major issues that a quick restart cannot fix with any of them.
  13. Going back to when encrypting USB sticks came about we used to let anyone open stuff on drives but not write to them, this was long before the likes of Drive and OneDrive etc. The only thing I can see is that students if there they have no internet at home as such you would be stuck but for everyone else there is no excuse to upload or even email document to yourself. Tough call, risk assess it and decide what is best for the organisation, just because it says something in an audit its a recommendation, put measures in place even if its to make them read only or only allow a small group of people to write to them or for those that need them supply some form of encrypted one.
  14. If you get a decent branded not a cheap Baofeng you will have no issues, you get what you pay for with them. My choice would be Motorola personally, look at the DMR ones, speak to your local radio supplier there will be one.
  15. I think we are about between 70 and 80 over 3 hosts, 2 main ones, 1 at fall back data centre. We have nothing in the cloud server wise other than externally hosted systems at present. Most servers are for 1 purpose than multiple roles too.
  16. I'd go down the Motorola radio route (other suppliers exist) work regardless so great if internet is down or even cellular data.
  17. You may need to allow your external internet firewall/filtering setup to allow the update to work too.
  18. We are currently replacing our Aruba stuff with Unifi.
  19. Not sure good call though like the idea of what your thinking. Probably just as good to isolate your controller if you can do and make the changes on there, either way should work.
  20. I think that is the biggest issue, I have read some have had to re-create the groups for it to work too.
  21. Upgraded this week, biggest things some settings are in the old interface and others are in the new and its a pain. Had a few issues with it, personally I wouldn't of upgraded yet till at least 6.1. If you have a fairly simple setup then I wouldn't worry but multiple sites, guest networks etc I would perhaps hold off for time being.
  22. But if you change it does it take the payment there and then or when your current subscription is up as such?
  23. Anyone know?
  24. VAT comes into play as well I believe, don't know the ins and outs but seen it before when this has been mentioned before.
  25. In my O365 account admin > billing > your products, my billing frequency is monthly, if I change it to yearly and currently my expiry is May 2021, would it want to take the yearly cost on my next payment or keep it monthly till next year? I have been wanting to change to yearly for a while rather than paying monthly for the two mailboxes I have but couldn't do it, just logged in and checked that its available to change but wanted to check to I don't end up with x amount been taken.
