Unifi all the way these days. Get no problems with it, plenty of support out there although not direct but does the job if needed.

USB C monitors here used as a dock, can link monitors too for dual screen. 1 cable plugged in makes it so much easier and we use both Dell and Lenovo laptops.

On your wireless controller have you got that SSID to tag traffic with vlan 150?

What is the uptake, do parents still buy these? Everyone has a phone/camera these days so taking pictures of their little darlings is an everyday occurrence where as years ago it wasn't. Obviously the school uses them in the MIS but surely a camera and a backdrop this could be done yourselves at far less cost? There are sites you can buy into and do similar with, have a look at event type photographers or wedding ones get a feel for what they are using and have a look at costs from there.

We use Lenovo P24H I think off the top of my head monitors, just plug in USB C to either our Dell or Lenovo laptops and away we go, USB ports on the back of them for keyboard/mouse etc, no more random docks but all in the monitor.

Create a Facebook account for work using work email not personal, then if you use both on the same PC use one browser for one, the other for the other.

Other than the ones you have listed I do know Honeywell and Drayton do systems too, worth a look too. With my current setup I would go Hive but I do plan on replacing my full heating system in a few years and make it properly smart and zoned so will be looking at it closer then, all depends what you want out of it.

Has said Parent been around all the local neighbours too and got them to turn their WiFi off, and the cordless phones, WiFi in the supermarket, shops, McDonalds.

Those that use Outlook fat client and flag their messages might have that annoying yellow background behind them all. We migrated to O365 this past week and its really been screwing with my eyes so if you go into options > mail > scroll to the bottom > other > untick highlight flagged items in the message list. Just thought I'd share for those who manage their mailboxes with flags etc.

A number of options, create a desktop shortcut to NHS Mail and set it to use Chrome incognito mode, other option block the use of NHSMail on these PC's and can only be used if they login as them, some kind of proxy GPO restriction. Another which won't happen is ensure staff sign out, failure to do so breaks trust IT policy? I know the generic login's are big use on the ward, I will speak to a colleague and see how they address it there. I think your best option is to disable access on shared logins, can you filter the generic accounts to block the use of NHS Mail?

Virtual queues need to be told which queues/devices they can release to and the devices need to know which queues they can look to be released from.

Create a local port called nul, best practice to use nul for your virtual queues now.

So likely an issue at the copier side then, if you run a ping to the server and then unplug the copier so you still have a response or not? Possible duplicate IP address, check subnet and gateway on the copier. Try setting copier to DHCP and see what happens. Also plug a laptop in and run a constant ping and see if any drops, will confirm if port/cable is faulty.

If you ring a constant ping from the server to the copier does it drop at all when it freezes?

Out of the two for me I would go with the IPSec one, one less thing for the user and more control of devices.

Set up a site to site VPN, far easier.

We have looked at it with Packet Fence, integrates with our WiFi. We will be implementing it again and everything if not on the domain will just drop into our internet only guest VLAN. A number of our buildings are shared sites too with common shared network cabinets so stuff often gets patched into wrong networks by the others.

It's not true fibre, still relying on the copper from cabinet to property that is why. I never had any issues with VM till earlier this year I just think they haven't got the capacity, the network is dated in places. I'm only with them for speed, been so tempted to move to purely 4G connection recently as can get something from EE far more reliable.

I think FTTC is fit for purpose, although some of the options available in some areas is poor. So for example, my Dad lives in a village is on PlusNet ADSL, connection does him, he gets about 15Mb down, due to the way the FTTC cabs are as it was an exchange online line he would only get 20Mb where he is, that package would cost him more and he's happy with what he has. My brother lives on a main road served by Virgin but as the houses are set off on a private road they won't install so options are limited to FTTC but can pick providers, he went with PlusNet as they have been reliable and it only costs him less than £10 a month due to the package he has gone on. Me, I live about a mile from my brother, have Virgin and BT available but BT is not FTTC, cabinet is about 300m from my house, ADSL is about 5mb due to distance from exchange. So my only option for speed is Virgin, I'd quite happily move to a FTTC provider as VM is poor even though its a 200Mb connection the drop outs are unreal but thats another story. I'd just like the choice at home, BT won't upgrade at VM are here. Now if you look at B4RN and what they have done, surely the bigger companies like BT and VM can follow in their footsteps? I think the money investing in fibre (true fibre) to all homes would be worth the investment. Would reduce some of the older kit the companies have to maintain with standard stuff that is everywhere. I've looked at getting fibre installed but the costs are unreal but then you look at KCom and their light stream connections they've got the right idea and their costs are pretty good I think for what you get just shame about other things with them! For me I just want a good 100Mb connection and decent upload and be able to have a choice who from and not pay through the roof.
