Not sure if Smoothwall support it but you want to look at OSPF. We have a similar setup on our network, everything back to the 2 core sites via multiple ways including a VPLS and internet VPN's for failover, local internet traffic goes out its own connection and everything else routed via one of the cores.

In Windows 10 I am able to right click say a MP3 and cast to an audio device. Can I create a script to cast a audio file to some devices does anyone know?

Sharp have or had a product called Scan 2 Sims which linked to SIMS but you need a certain model or feature available on your Sharp for this. I believe the Arena product from what I had seen and used before was just scan to a network folder which the software that run in the background picked up from so could be used on pretty much anything with scan to network features.

I have a registry change somewhere for shared mailboxes along the line of DelegateSentItemsStyle, have a look for that think its what your after but its that long since I've used it and cannot find it to hand at the moment.

I'm with EE, have multiple SIM's on my account, my Dad got his first smart phone so got a sim only deal for him with minimum data and I just gift if he needs more, costs him about £10 a month.

Unifi AP, one UAP-AC-Pro would centrally would cover the house fine, I am in a 50's semi and its solid and does me.

Thanks, I had had a quick look that one. Looking into this further I think I'm going to struggle to get a raid card to fit the server which is annoying plus need drives may end up cheaper to just get a NAS off the shelf but will be looking at True NAS.

I have a HP ProLiant Turion II N40L MicroServer which I bought about 10 years ago which cost me little brand new due to a HP cashback deal, I upped it to 8GB of memory and has basically sat there doing nothing. It had 4 bays plus the drive bay and I want to populate it with some drivers if I can find a suitable raid for it, firstly is it worth it and which NAS distribution would anyone recommend? I want to look at syncing it with a QNAP NAS and will be a bit of a backup of a backup situation at home.

That is what I wanted to know exactly @powdarrmonkey. I presume you assign each handset an extension number as that bit isn't clear or is it a case of you transfer you select from a list presented to you? It will suite exactly what I need which is simple that the end user can manage but do what they want but in the long term save a fortune and has the ability to have POTS into it too.

Wasn't sure where to put this as its more a VoIP type question but no dedicated area for it For VoIP most are familiar with your various handsets powered by PoE but most either rely on connection to a server in the cloud or local onsite server. I've been involved with VoIP bits for years but never had to put in too much thought about it but I'm getting more and more questions asked that involve VoIP and been doing a bit of digging and research into a few bits for projects. So recently I ported a number to Andrews & Arnold saving £16 a month which is a bonus but gave me more options than I had before and more flexibility. On a note I would recommend Andrews & Arnold to any tech wanting to do stuff on their own, I looked at 3 or 4 companies offerings and they met what I wanted and process was fairly painless. Now I've been asked to save money which I can do but then got me looking at the Gigaset N300IP again, which I think is going to suit what I need to do, does anyone own or use one here? I want to bring a SIP trunk in and have a few cordless handsets, I presume looking at what I can online its a small PBX type system and you can transfer between phones but also have a different external number to each phone but then transfer calls between each handset if needed?

Only affects those connected to the cloud, local server is local and not affected.

UAP-AC-Pro all the way, no need to buy a cloud key, just install the controller on a server. Doesn't need to be running all the time unless running a guest portal, only needed for config.

Never known anything like that unless you have some third party software running if anything such exists. More likely down to recent issues with updates.

I've only ever done it on Sharp & Toshiba and one Konica but was a bit of guess work on that one so cannot offer anything more other than that.

I've never once had any form of job accounting within a MFD working on an iPad, do you have a spare printer you can hook up on the network some where, setup so only that iPad can print to it, all jobs are sent to that they they are collected by student at some point during the day? Or I would be going down the PaperCut route for all devices, use Mobilty Print, allow SEN student to print to queue then login and get jobs.

Maybe I'm old school but I'd rather have a phone call that a video one! Too reliant on technology these days.
